Omg these are coming out entirely to slow I literally can't stand it!

Hate and Love are a fine line

This series just gets better and better with more darkness creeping in. Nico is so harsh to Bri and for the most part she combats him at every turn throwing back his darkness. He is so obsessed with her and so angry about it. This is definitely the most “brutal” in terms of degradation. I want Bri to get angrier or have more control
Over her urges to make Nico suffer for being an ass to her but it also builds such great tension between them. Great cliffhanger! The narration is of course perfect. James and Stella pour so much emotion into these characters. Phenomenal as always!

Impossible to sympathize w/ lead female character…

You have to expect stories in this genre will push the envelope.

But the characters’ behaviors still need to be “believable” within this context. This is where Corrupt Knight goes way off the rails.

I think it might have helped had the author provided the listener/reader with one or two semi-plausible reasons for the LFC’s behavior (e.g. sex addiction). Without this, it’s impossible to believe she’d willingly subject herself to such vicious treatment - especially when this is the only type of treatment she’s received.
