Hotness

London and Sutton are Hotness!! Lorelei James books are pure raw hotness and I love Scarlet Chase as narrator 💕💕

Short and sweet cowboy romance featuring bulldog her Sutton Grant

Some sexy scenes but mostly a short romance with a little drama about Sutton’s career change and his dealings with a sharp tongued, sassy horse trainer. Only one earlier couple from the series puts in an appearance which is a bit disappointing but it makes this a complete stand alone story. Few additional characters so the dialog doesn’t badly tax the range of narrator Scarlet Chase but the performance would have been better with a male narrator adding to her performance.

Good but tamer than the others.

Kept hinting at Sutton’s darker side in the bedroom, would have liked to see a longer story showing what he was like. He was such an interesting guy I wanted to see more.

Awe! I love when the woman is the aggressor. London sees Sutton again after a few years and the chemistry blew up!

Oh Sutton played coy for a little while but he couldn’t resist the sexy woman for long.

I liked how there was some drama because this story just kind of needed it.

I really liked the narration. :)

I Picked Up This Book Because: Needed a short book for #24B4Monday Readathon

The Characters:

Sutton Grant: World champion bulldogger sidelined by injury
London Gradsky: Top notch horse trainer


The Story:

Sutton Grant has decided to retire after an accident that almost left him paralized. The problem is he hasn’t told anyone else yet. He recruits London to get his horse back into shape to be sold. London request Sutton to pretend to be her beau so she can make her ex jealous. They discover they have real chemistry, no pretending needed.

Sutton and London askew a good couple. I enjoyed listening to their story. The amount of cursing in this book surprised/bothered me. Not sure why guess I’m getting old.

Great Book - Hot Content - Perfect Novella

I read these out of order, so some of the characters have been mentioned in books prior to this one. However, even though this is a series, Roped In the novella can be listened to as a standalone, in my opinion.


Sutton Grant, also known as "the Saint", is the nicest kind of cowboy. He signs autographs for the young men who look up to them to him as a world champion bulldogger. He also has the reputation of being sweet, even though his ladies are nothing but one night stands.

On the same circuit London wants to die of mortification after her boyfriend dumps her for a petite and pretty rodeo "queen."

To get back at him London hooks up with Sutton for a couple of weeks only – of saving face in exchange for some horse training - the training turns out to be some pretty hot action!

As always is the question, will this continue even after the arrangement/contract has been fulfilled?

Lorelei James has written yet another fantastic, contemporary romance – complete with strong language and mature themes.

Scarlet Chase does a lovely job portraying the characters. I think that Scarlet makes all of the women sound very similar but I really enjoy how she and how she performs and gets into the male characters. They all sound unique!

Meh

The narration was weird it sounded like two different voices some times in the same sentence, very distracting. It felt to drawn out for a novella get to the good stuff

What would have made Roped In better?

Rope In would have been better if the narrators voice didn't keep changing through out the book.

Any additional comments?

Whoever did the voice editing should be sacked because the narrator's voice changing constantly is annoying.

The majority of this book is cowboy porn.

You can get the same stuff from the free book section instead having to pay for it.
