Excellent hot meaningful romance

Loved that the couple wasn’t perfect, that there was real life issues with one of them and how they handled it. Their chemistry was sizzling hot as well as the wonderfully detailed sex. Great narration, overall terrific book.

Lorelei James You Are A Naughty Lady - I LIKE It

Raunchy at first listen!

In true Lorelei James fashion we barely have to make wait five minutes before the main characters are getting "down and dirty." This is great if you enjoy mature themes and strong language. This listener doesn't mind hearing it once in a while. That is why I have the complete set of Blacktop Cowboy series (this is a 3 1/2 hour novella,- book 6.6 in the series)

Onto the book review:

Wynton Grant and Melissa Lockhart have reputations that precede them. When they meet up at their Mel;s best friend and Wyn's brother's wedding reception; they hook up quickly and the usual 'one and done' doesn't seem to suit either of them – not that they talk about it!

London, Melissa's best friend, volunteers Melissa's help when a an emergency leaves the Grant Ranch one man down. Since Melissa is an experienced horsewoman – London arranges to throw her right into the middle of things. Right in the middle of things is exactly where Wyn wants Melissa to be, under his roof and in his bed.

Another emergency threatens to dislodge any trust that Wynton and Melissa have inadvertently blended.

Are they cut out for playing on the domestic front? Or will they find that it doesn't suit them or secrets threaten to bring that premise down?

Another Lorelei James western romance that I found a bit pricey for 3 1/2 hours, however I waited patiently and was able to get it on sale for about four dollars.

I always enjoy Scarlet Chase's performances. She is one of the few narrators that are just right (I normally speed books up to 1.25x speed or higher when listening)

Overall 4 Stars, Performance 4 Stars, Story 4 Stars

Melissa and Winton were Hotness right from the beginning!! They connected with each other beautifully 💕 I love Scarlet Chase’s reading!! She makes it sound so sexy and alluring 🔥

good story

It was fine not quite my style but that's alright. I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next blacktop Cowboy book.

4 Stripped Down Stars

Oooh I really liked this story, the banter and the no judgment about each other’s pasts was really nice. No one got jealous because they both had lives before each other.

I do love with a perpetually single man falls and falls hard.
Melissa is pretty much an open book but with her health that is a different story. Being that her diagnoses was also kind of new for her I can understand why she thought she needed to hide it.

This love story was just sweet and fit well with the rest of this series. I can’t wait to keep going.

Really enjoy Scarlet’s narration she can sure do a male voice shivers.

Sexy and interesting story in series

This storyline tackles the serious topic of learning to live with a life threatening incurable but manageable disease while trying to live life to the fullest. The subject of family dynamics is also ever present and a future story is set up involving a gay younger sibling. Not to difficult to imagine that another character in the series who is bisexual but unhappy might become his HEA. This story is fast paced with plenty of erotic scenes- predictable drama but a hopeful future. Hope to see more of the two main characters as Melissa learns to cope.
The narration was ok but would be better with dual narration. Good addition to series and to Escape Package.
