Publisher's summary

I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he's gone.

He doesn't understand, and I can't make him.

If only he'd see the conviction behind my words - then Liam would still be here.

WHAT A LISTEN & WHAT A STORY.... IT WAS SO INTENSE

Natalie's in shock but she's strong and is determined not to let Liam go but it's Liam that's trying to give her space to work out her feelings because he doesn't just want to be the consolation prize. Then he gets his orders through.... 6 months deployment during which time he desperately hopes Natalie will choose him - but Natalie isn't going to let him walk away from what they've got that easy and she hopes to break Liam's resolve and resume their sexual combustion (and express her love too) with a bit of daring feminine 'bait'.

However, Aaron is constantly on the scene begging, scheming and trying to rekindle their marriage and he is also slowly getting to know, and learning to be a Father to, their daughter. Liam and Natalie have stolen times together in between training for his mission and other obstacles. However, eventually there is a tear filled goodbye, some Skype sex and fleeting communications but problems his end lead him to some frightening situations when nobody can reach him because his team's gone 'dark'. Which is a nerve-wracking time because tragic news, which'll devastate him, means he is urgently needed back home. And the heartbreaking scenes that follow are sad, raw and touching but amongst the heartbreak there are some wonderful celebrations too.

I was gripped as each scene unfolded and they all packed a punch of some kind. What a gifted Author and the narration was excellent too. Told mainly from Natalie's POV but there are a few chapters from Liam's POV too.

Worth a credit? What a journey this has been - words like.... tragic, heart-warming, beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional all spring to mind - as does gritty, wonderful, sexy, very very romantic, touching and a mesmerizing passion-fuelled book. An awesome listen that was far more than just creditworthy..... it's Oscar worthy!!

Part 2 just as good as Part 1

Would you consider the audio edition of Conviction to be better than the print version?

Wow! The decisions and feelings of this characters came through in the narration. It made me cry, feel frustration, confusion, and excitement. Great short series, but i believe the narrators made the book better than just reading it myself.

WONDERFUL!!!!!

Would you listen to Conviction again? Why?

I would...it was great!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Conviction?

When she tells Lia about the baby.

What about Andi Arndt and Sebastian York ’s performance did you like?

They were great...both of them!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both!

Any additional comments?

I loved the way this wrapped up, this was a roller coaster of a ride story, both book 1 and 2...but I loved them...and I am so happy for Natalie...she was strong, and stuck to her heart, even though it was very hard....she knew what she deserved and took it!! I recommend both books!!!

WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND A CREDIT!!!!

Worth the wait

Definitely worth the wait!! The love in this book is astounding. The choices made and the determination in these characters is what made this book. I'll be re-reading this book for many years. Thank you Corinne for being an amazing author and pouring your heart and soul into all of these characters. Seriously the best book I have ever read.

Liam & Natalie

▪▪▪Review contains spoilers▪▪▪

Audible Escapes review. Dual POV. Book 2 of The Consolation Duet and Book 4 of the 8 book Salvation series. Trigger warnings: Natalie has had 4 previous miscarriages, Britney miscarried, Madeline miscarried and died, Shannon dies, Chrissy's death is remembered, Aaron returns a year after being presumed dead from an explosion, 3 other Navy Seals died during a previous mission, Aaron suffers from the after effects of being held captive for a year and the blow back of his affair previous to his deployment. **uncertain of the correct spelling of character names**

Natalie Star Gilcher (27, aka Lee, Sparkles) grew up on a farm in Arkansas, is the widow of Aaron and mother of Arabelle.  During their marriage she suffered infertility issues: 4 lost IVF cycles one of which was at 10 weeks. After learning Aaron died in an explosion she started to move on, got a job with Cole Security Forces and eventually fell in love with his best friend Liam. Liam Dempsey (aka Demps, Dream Boat) is a Navy Seal,  owner of Robin, his beloved red car, and Aaron's best friend. After Aaron passed away he went to help Natalie adjust to life without Aaron and quickly developed feelings for her. As their love starts to grow Liam is sent on a quick mission and returns with Aaron (scarred, bruised and missing a finger). Shocked Natalie is elated her husband, friend and father of their daughter is alive and hugs him. Liam is hurt and starts to pull back. Natalie struggles to find a balance knowing that Aaron had cheated on her before he left and was presumed dead. Liam wants to give his best friend and the new love of his life a chance even though Natalie is certain it's not Aaron she wants. Aaron continues to lie about his relationship with Britney and even shuns Britney when she shows up at their door to confront him. He went so far as admitting the night of one of her miscarriages was when he cheated on her with Britney. Natalie divorces Aaron. After fainting at work she finds out that she's pregnant with Liam's baby while he's on a 6 month deployment. She's scared that she's going to lose the baby so she doesn't tell Liam that she's pregnant. Liam's mom is in an accident and on life support. Natalie does everything she can and is finally able to get news to him to return quickly. He gets home in time to go to his mom's hospital bedside. Natalie goes with him. He proposes in his mom's hospital room. His dad makes the difficult decision that it's time to let her go and she passes away. Soon after they have a gender reveal party and find they're having a boy. Liam insists that because everyone is already the threat they get married that weekend. Their beach wedding. The epilogues is a comical and touching scene detailing the birth of Shane.

although the story was sweet, I didn't feel that Aaron was treated very well and that was difficult to listen to.

Outstanding.

Absolutely amazing..Can't remember when I last felt this moved by a story. Heart breaking tragedy leads to friendship between two broken souls which leads to an extraordinaryly tender love story. But its not all doom and gloom Hilarious, wise racking banter often lightens the pace, between the two leads, who survive heartbreak, tragedy, betrayal, guilt, death and loss. Hits you with the harsh reality of being a navy seal wife, which is difficult to hear at times. Lots of hot sex of course and a jaw droppingly clever cliff hanger at the end of book one. Just outstanding.

Heartwarming

This was a great surprise for me. I’d never read anything before by this author and was truly mesmerised by this story. It had me in tears, laughing and loving throughout the two books. It was at times, shattering in its rawness and filled my heart with joy and love as it developed. I absolutely loved it. Well done 👍
