An excellent and helpful guide

Being a shy person all my life, I find conversation and social events very tough but this guide was great for laying out the stepson advice to overcome this. Already (a week after getting it) I am a lot better and able to handle events and situations with ease. I am not totally 100% fine yet but I feel this book has helped me a lot.

First class.

A first class book which I now own in print and audiobook which should tell you how much I enjoyed it and more importantly how much value I gleamed from this.

Good narrator too which obviously helps a lot.

Liked how it dealt with shyness and gave me a lot of general social skills

Well worth it

Any additional comments?

I found this book very engaging and ended up listening to it twice in a row and have already dived back to other parts when i needed more advice about social situations. Very happy with this, i feel a good bit better already and more capable.

Shyness has improved

I am, gradually, day by day, finding social situations a lot "easier" to cope with. At the very least I am no longer cringing all the times or avoiding events / chats / people the way I used to do.

Get an A in confidence and overcome your shyness!

When I first listened to this book, I was sceptical. I was not the confident, social and popular girl in school nor was I the 'Employee of the Month' at work. I was just a simple girl that nobody seems to understand. After I listened to the audiobook, it gave me a sense of purpose and boosted my confidence. So if you're an overly shy person like me, I recommend you buy this audiobook.

I HATE social situations. Well I don’t hate them, i just hate that i feel incapable of being normal in them lol! I got this about a month ago and at first ignored it but in the past week i have started to try out some of the advice and its working so far, very very happy.

A huge help

I have struggled with shyness / awkwardness in certain situations (mostly social) for much of my life. Even talking on the phone felt awkward. This book has been a monumental help to me. Mostly it has been helpful with always knowing what to say, how to start / respond / keep going with shall chat etc. I also just generally feel a lot more confident and assertive. I have more to go on my journey but i am so much better in the past few weeks.

Complete Game Changer

This book is a complete eye opener when it comes to how much our confidence and ability to engage in face to face conversation is regressing. It's definitely a book for anyone with an introverted personality that struggles with face to face interaction. It gives you the vital skills that are often neglected when it comes to successful everyday human interaction.
The guidelines offer invaluable wisdom that help you to show to remain present in the moments rather than looking awkward and rude. After listening to this book, I have definitely noticed that my confidence has increased in everyday interactions after learning how my social awkwardness translates to looking plain rude!
What I liked in particular about this audiobook was the fact that it was written by someone that previously suffered with social shyness. I will definitely revisit this book frequently!

Nothing new and very American

It was ok but there was nothing new in it, it was mostly obvious stuff that we already know and it was very American (I was like you and now I give speeches all around the world and am fabulous, if I can do it you can too).

Good information, reader a little patronizing

Comprehensive and helpful information covering a range of topics, reader sounded a bit patronizing the whole way through but I don't think this was intended!
