Fans will appreciate the insight into his own work, especially Fight Club (1996), his tributes to friends and forebears, and how he delivers gracious and encouraging wisdom in his characteristically conversational style."—Booklist

PRAISE FOR CHUCK PALAHNIUK:

"Chuck Palahniuk's stories don't unfold. They hurtle headlong, changing lanes in threes and banging off the guard rails of modern fiction... With his love of contemporary fairytales that are gritty and dirty rather than pretty, Palahniuk is the likeliest inheritor of Vonnegut's place in American writing."—San Francisco Chronicle
"One of the most feverish imaginations in American letters."
The Washington Post
"Like Edgar Allen Poe, Palahniuk is a bracingly toxic purveyor of dread and mounting horror. He makes nihilism fun."—Vanity Fair
"Dark riffing on modernity is the reason people read Palahniuk. His books are not so much novels as jagged fables, cautionary tales about the creeping peril represented by almost everything."—Time

Good stuff. He really hits some detailed points, not the usual basic stuff you find in IG memes “show don’t tell” etc. There a couple things I’ll use for future books. Nice work, Mr. Chuck P

if you are a writer, Palahniuk fan, or even just a fan of the written word, this is your book. Palahniuk takes the reader on as his surrogate student and passes down his hard won knowledge. While this isn't an instruction manual for writing the great American Novel, it is a thought provoking introduction to wisdom of a seasoned tradesperson.

must read for any writer.

I picked this on a whim because I love listening to books that are read by the authors. I wish I could use your voice for Siri because your voice is an anxiety repellent. Thanks for the laughs and thought provoking context. Until next time!

Thanks Chuck

Palahniuk's writing style has always been a mystery to me. However, the book "Consider This" has opened up an entirely new experience as it serves to decode Palahniuk's numerous writing strategies. It is a goldmine for anyone interested in the art of storytelling and the writer’s unique craftsmanship.

While reading, I found it fascinating and kept stopping to re-read just to take in what he was sharing. Even then, I couldn't absorb it all. Everything is laid out for any intrepid reader to digest. I took in every jam-packed line, written with such efficiency that I was constantly reminding myself, "this is important." There were numerous times when the anecdotes repeatedly hijacked my attention, causing me to pause, think a little, and realize I was missing the big pointer.

However, his repetitive hook, "If I were your writing instructor," helped me refocus. I now look forward to rereading "Fight Club," along with, "Choke," and a few other books by Chuck Palahniuk.

Moreover, these insights assure me that I will never read a story the same way again.

In summary, "Consider This" is pure gold and a must-read for anyone interested in writing and storytelling.

So many pointers and insights
