A solid book about the truth in anything in life: there is no easy way, no short cut, no cheat to become successful. It takes hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. I have nothing but respect for Paul Guyot for his words of advice for not just screenwriting, but other aspects of life. This book is absolutely spectacular.

At first I thought to myself “I could have saved hundreds of dollars and years of my life if I’d just read this book before the others!”

Then I realized:
A) The book was only published the year before I read it and
B) If I hadn’t read the other books first, I wouldn’t have appreciated how spot-on this one is!

Refreshing

The auto prompt in this box reads, what did you like or dislike. Dislike!? There is nothing to dislike or hate or disapprove of at all! Truly a fresh read, or fresh listen in my case. Paul, I can't thank you enough for writing this book. As an aspiring screenwriter I understand a few more things in a much clearer sense. By chapter five I was ready to go hash out some rewrites, but couldn't stop your voice from pouring unrestrained knowledge into my brain holes. Thank you for the truth.

What a breath of fresh air

Motivating book and great Narration. I’ve read them all and none of them give the insight Kill the Dog does.

I'm growing accustomed to listening to a lot of material, if the author chooses to be the voice of the book, that's another layer to material in my opinion.

I enjoyed listening to the voice of Mr. Guyot, it reminds me of Peter Parker - the original Spider-Man of course.
