Publisher's Summary

Tandy Angel may have played the hero when she solved the case of her magnificently wealthy parents' mysterious deaths, but she isn't done yet. Her brother, Matthew, stands trial for homicide, young girls are found murdered all around New York's Upper West side, and Tandy is determined to use her piercing intellect to get to the bottom of both cases. But the biggest mystery of all may be what actually happened to James Rampling, the handsome son of a family enemy, whom Tandy fell in love and ran away with - though most of her memories of the affair are disturbingly absent....

The confessions keep coming as Tandy delves even deeper into her own tumultuous history and the skeletons in the Angel family closet.

WONDERFUL AUTHOR, AND SUPERB STORY LINE

I NOTICED THAT ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS WERE NEGATIVE FOR THIS BOOK. I HAVE COME TO BELIEVE AFTER LISTENING TO THE SECOND BOOK OF THE SERIES, THAT YOU MUST READ THE FIRST; WHICH I HAD DONE A DAY AGO. THE TWO BOOKS WORK SEAMLESSLY TOGETHER. IF YOU TAKE THE SECOND BOOK, OF AND BY ITSELF, YOU REALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE CHARACTERS HAVE SUFFERED UNDER THEIR PARENTS WHICH IS SPELLED OUT IN DETAIL IN A WONDERFUL MYSTERY. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PUT INTO ONE BOOK, BUT IT WOULD BE AN OVERWHELMINGLY LARGE ONE. I THINK JAMES AND THE NARRATOR DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND I REALLY LOVED THE STORY LINE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE PROTAGONIST. IT IS A CLEAN, FUNNY AT TIMES, WONDERFUL LIST OF CHARACTERS THAT MAKE UP THE ANGEL FAMILY. PLEASE DO READ "CONFESSIONS OF A MURDER SUSPECT" BEFORE YOU READ "CONFESSIONS: THE PRIVATE SCHOOL MURDERS". THIS REALLY IS A RED HERRING TITLE IN MY OPINION, FOR THEY REALLY ARE NOT IN SCHOOL THAT OFTEN, BUT SCHOOL DOES PLAY A SIGNIFICANT PART OF THE PROTAGONIST FLOWERING RETURN OF HER MEMORY ~~WHICH WAS STOLEN THAT PLAYS OUT OF THE WHYS AND WAYS IT ALL HAPPENED IN "CONFESSIONS OF A MURDER SUSPECT".

JAMES, YOU DID A GREAT JOB IN HOLDING DOWN THE UNTOWARD LANGUAGE AND SEXUAL SITUATIONS, THAT SO HAMPER YOU SINCE YOU STARTED WRITING WITH OTHER AUTHORS. MAXINE, THANK THE LORD, DID A FINE JOB IN KEEPING IT CLEAN SO YOUR KIDS COULD LISTEN TO THIS STORY ON A TRIP AS A FAMILY. KEEP THE SERIES GOING WITH THE ANGEL CHILDREN AS THEY TRULY ARE A REMARKABLE FAMILY.

I more than agree.... it is a very boring book

Would you try another book from James Patterson and Maxine Paetro and/or Emma Galvin?

Yes, their Murder Club books are great.

Has Confessions: The Private School Murders turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emma Galvin?

The narrator was not the problem with this book. It was the book itself.

What character would you cut from Confessions: The Private School Murders?

Don't think that any one character was the problem; it was how the entire book was put together.

Any additional comments?

I was stunned that this book was so bad when the Murder Club books have been so very good.

This might be good for a 13 old girl

It's pretty disappointing from James Patterson. Weak story and poor mystery. Simply awful! Almost like a comical attempt at teen romance. I wouldn't recommend this, not even to my teenage daughters.

GOOD! But James....

What made the experience of listening to Confessions: The Private School Murders the most enjoyable?

I love James Patterson's way of explaining Tandy's point of view, getting inside her head. I love how he paints the image of characters.

What other book might you compare Confessions: The Private School Murders to and why?

I would compare this book to the last, only almost better. The first is nostalgic.

Which scene was your favorite?

I especially enjoy Matthew's court scenes, as well as

#####SPOILER ALERT######

His welcome home scene, it is a very special moment.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Tandy's moments in the story made me laugh, but no crying.

Any additional comments?

Tandoori's boyfriend James is talked about WAY too much. It personally left me taking a star off, almost another one. It was very repetitive every chapter to hear about James.

Loved it!

Great book with lots of twists to keep you interested. The narrating can be monotonous at times, but for the main character the voice matched well. Love JP books and cannot wait to listen to more!
