Publisher's Summary

Ariel

I would like to say we were old lovers. That once upon a time he was my everything, and I was his, but that would be a lie. He may have been mine, but I wasn’t his. I was his sister’s annoying little friend who he didn’t even know was in love with him.

Years later, after seeing him again for the first time, nothing has changed. Except now, he notices me, and I will do everything in my power to avoid him. Because Falcon is the most conceited man on this planet, and because when he looks at me with steel eyes, my heart still misses a beat.

Falcon

I get what I want, and I’m never denied anything either. It’s my charm. It’s hard to say no to something you never knew you desired until I’m standing in front of you. That’s not just who I am, it’s what I do. I help men achieve everything they have ever wanted.

Most people would go to great lengths to be near me. Yet, my sweet Ariel, I can’t even get her to stay in the same room as me. Maybe it’s because I told her I would be the best lay of her life - that has to be it - and once I’m finished with her, she’s avoiding being disappointed by every other man for the rest of her life.

It couldn’t possibly be anything else, because let’s face it, I’m perfect.

All audiobooks in the series can be listened to as stand-alone stories.

SADLY THE NARRATION LET IT DOWN

I did go back and forth wondering whether or not I should get this audiobook because it was so short and I personally don’t really like short books.. however I really enjoyed the previous two books so finally caved. And it was an entertaining story as Falcon the cocky conceited manwhore got his life, and his ‘one and done’ attitude, turned upside down by Ariel who had once been in his life as his sister’s sweet tempting (but under age and off limits) bff.. but four years apart changes everything.

Ariel’s been burnt by Falcon’s harsh words when she was young, clueless and naively in love with him and doesn’t fall at the shameless Playboy’s feet like every other woman on the planet.. Falcon finds this very refreshing and is even more intrigued by the beautiful temptress. And this starts a humorous cat and mouse push ‘n pull game as, over and over again, Falcon is rejected.. but slowly Ariel’s carefully constructed walls are cracking under the droolworthy man’s constant attention to get into her pants. But he’s a part owner of the Crimson Elite Sex Club and she’s a Reporter whose mission it is to expose the very same secretive Club, it’s owners and uncover the secrets as to what exactly goes on there.. totally unaware that the answers are right under her pretty nose. A nose that’s in danger the harder she digs.. a nose that’s going to lead her into some very hot water.. a nose above a mouth that’s going to have kisses stolen, kisses given and utter words of love to a man she thought she’d hate forever.. but it’s also a nose that will run rivers when anguish and heartache strike.

Worth a credit? Spending a credit on this very short listen did sting quite a bit and I’m still peeved that the books are actually getting shorter and shorter. I also couldn’t really connect to Falcon or find him even the tiniest bit sexy at all because of AC’s comedic narration and I didn’t like his female voice either. However, Ava was great as the dual POV storyline unfurled with easy-going sharp humorous banter, sex, secrets, danger, passion and character growth and the Performance stars are for her. So overall it was ok, and if you’re a fan of the series you’ll probably get this like me.. but I hope you won’t regret it a little as well like me.
