This book is full of essential topics for those who are trying to succeed in life and career. One of my favorite moments is about "failing your way to the top" I would recommend it as a mandatory literature for all young (and not only) professionals.

I like the fact that Pepper goes thru all the important and sometimes complex topics with calm wisdom and you can see them thru the lenses of decades-long experience!

Where does Common Sense Wisdom rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Working as a real estate broker and an investment consluntant in the building industry, I spend a lot of hours driving around Prague. Usually I get quickly bored while listening to many local radio stations and I find myself changing them all the time. A friend of mine said to me one day, hey, why don't you listen to something more usefull like a book? A book? How can you listen to a book? Books are there to be read, right? Right, but there is somebody else reading that for you! What a surprice to me, what a completely new world for me to be discovered! And I was sooo happy to find one of my favourite books by Pepper de Callier on Audible. And - read by Pepper himself. Great!

This book is filled with such rich perspective and is recommended for anyone looking to be a better leader or simply a more authentic person. Whether you read it a little bit at a time or all in one sitting, the stories are memorable and help challenge you to put the guidance into practice in your own life.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how concisely the pearls were presented and in such a relatable way. The wisdom can be applied to different relationships and really brings you back to first principles. I guess that is where the common sense comes in. I have been reading various books on leadership and it can be overwhelming at times, tying to decide which tips have applicability in what situation. Common Sense Wisdom makes it easy.

The performance was excellent. Mr. de Callier's reading was very natural and easy to listen to.

A great guide to professional and personal life

Some books are just waste of paper, time and energy. This one, on the contrary, brings deep insight based on rich experience in a very easy-to-digest form and makes you re-think even the topics you thought you have mastered.

Every single sentence in every single chapter has been crafted carefully to bring deep insight in a concise form thus allowing for focus on the ideas and content in one's own context. I enjoyed every minute of the book and though having gone through some experience myself already I found every chapter inspiring and thought provoking though originally I considered myself being "beyond this topic".

The book is very practical and useful for anyone at any stage of his career. I would even argue it is very well applicable also outside the professional life. Many topics apply not only to business but also to personal life. And through its easy-to-use form Pepper makes the book very practical and easy to get back to for inspiration should you get in a situation addressed in the book.
