Publisher's Summary

There's only one way to stop bioterrorism. Catch it before it spreads.

Just one week after an entire town in Alaska mysteriously fell ill, all 200 souls were dead.

Six months earlier, a famous Russian virologist entered Seattle for a World Health conference, but then he disappeared.

Coincidence? The president of the United States doesn't think so. That's why he's sending in elite counterterrorism operative Alexander King.

King might not know anything about bioweapons, but he's an expert at stopping bad people from doing bad things. And if he doesn't get his man this time, millions of lives could be lost.

If you couldn't put down Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Brad Thor's Scot Harvath, or David Baldacci's Will Robie, fans of Bradley Wright believe you won't be able to stop listening to the addictive Alexander King.

Great book, but...

This was a good story, and Alexander King is a great character. So the following comment is aimed at the narrator and producers, someone needs to do a much better job at listening to the audiobook before releasing it. Much of this story takes place in a location called “Barrow” Alaska. Throughout the book the narrator pronounce the name of the town as borrow Alaska. So every time a character said the name of the town it was like fingernails on a chalkboard. It’s barrow like wheelbarrow, not borrow like May I please borrow some sugar. It may seem nitpicky, but it’s the kind of grating error that really Diminishes the enjoyment I’ve been otherwise really good book.

Liked it

I liked this second part as it built nicely on the first book. Hopefully part 3 won’t be long. Though I feel like King/Sam/Dj should have way more resources available to them.

first book was okay this one not so much

If you are from or live in Alaska this one will make you cringe, like other listener mentioned the Narator continuosly mispronouncing Barrow as borrow every couple of minutes was grating on my nerves. The book also talks about Ft. Greely being in Fairbanks when its not, Ft. Wainwright is in Fairbanks as well as Eielson Air Force Base. I noticed in the first book that the author talked alot about different branches of Military and Government agencies and had no idea what he was talking about but at least the story was entertaining. Once again author has no idea what hes talking about but the story is stupid and not entertaining. Minimal research would have made this so much better, there arent mining outfits in Barrow that King would have worked for its oil drilling on the North Slope and the depiction of the community is ridiculous. If you are gonna make up fake everything you might as well make up fake names of the places too. sorry Rant over.

Wright and Lemaster are bringing the HEAT!

Another out-of-the-park home run from Bradley Wright and Jarret Lamaster. When I see their names, I just smash that one-click because I know I’m going to love the story. Cold War is incredibly topical, given the two-year-long pandemic we are currently living through. It’s a conspiracy, man! Lol… but seriously… this is a fantastic action novel to read or listen to, whichever you prefer. Enjoy!!

Non-Stop Action

A story of real life events with surprising twists and turns. A book one never wants to stop listening to.

Childish and predictable

So cliché and shallow. Not sure what people see in this. Agent meets the town hottie, bangs her before figuring out his case, fights with the town trouble maker. I couldn’t take it anymore. Had to return it at this point.

Narrator was painful to listen to

I had to grit my teeth through this one. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline, but cringed throughout courtesy of the narrator. I took a sneak peek of future books. Sure enough, the publisher stuck with the same guy. Oh well.

What an absolute piece of crap!!

If you like poorly written US propaganda and a story so ridiculous that it's hilarious, you'll love this book. It's littered with opportunities for you to take off your shirt and jump around the room chanting "U! S! A!" over and over. However, if you want something that is clever, well written and even just semi-plausible, then I suggest trying a read from Len Deighton or John le Carré.
