Publisher's summary

The dead speak and one man hears their harrowing cries....

Dan Tate survived a heart-breaking tragedy and is plagued by nightmares of his terrifying ordeal. Withdrawing into an emotionless shell, he has driven away everyone who cared about him. Dan is lost, and utterly alone. Until he hears the voices....

In Coffin Cemetery, the anguished spirits cry out to him. Lost souls, torn from their places of rest, are seeking a way to move on. Dan wants to help these wandering ghosts find some measure of peace, in the hopes that, he too can finally put his past behind him.

But Dan isn’t the only one who speaks with the dead. Janet Ladd also hears their call and intends to use these tormented souls to fulfill her darkest desires. She unleashes bloodthirsty wraiths to do her bidding.

Dan and the ghost of a young boy are the only ones standing in her way. Unless Dan can overcome the torment inside his soul, the enemy’s dark power will grow even stronger....

And a new tragedy will haunt Dan’s nightmares.

Cemetery Ghosts

I love how Ron Ripley writes with interactive ghosts. My favorite characters in this book are Dan, Mary and Eli and this is a great start to new series. LOL when cop runs from the ghost. Cannot wait for next book on audible, ASAP please! Also recommend his series of Berkley Street and Moving In if you like ghosts and great for the Halloween season as well as anytime with good narration.

Campy

I’m looking for a good serious scary ghost story. This is just too campy for me. The writing and story is playful and so is the narration.
If that’s what you enjoy in a ghost story this book is for you.

Slow burn into a gripping tale

Started out kind of like a slow burner for me, but very intriguing indeed. As I followed Dan and the others through this tale the more deeper and interesting it became. I must continue into the second book, I gotta know what happens next! I highly recommend this spooky and interesting take on the paranormal. 👍👍

It was ok. 🙄

This story didn't own up to what I was expecting out of a Ron Ripley story, but hopefully, book 2 will. I guess I'm so caught up on Berkeley Street Series, that I expect a lot of fighting, and I have a pretty decent size of Ron Ripley stories. Dan Tate went from a tough guy to a wuss....I hope his character does more fighting in the next book. 🤔

Wonderful

I really enjoy Tom Bowers narration! Rob Ripley is my new replacement for Stephen King, James Patterson, Lisa Gardner, Patricia Cornwell, all of whom have changed their writing style.

Coffin cemetery

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Thom Bowers

I would happily have given this book 4 stars, it’s unusual and interesting and I was invested to see how it would play out, who is the secret figure controlling the shots, how will Dan Tate help when he can’t help himself?
The reason I gave 3 stars is because the book just stopped! Things are building nicely, I’m looking forward to it all coming together, chapter 45 Dan makes a small breakthrough, then nothing, it goes to a preview for the next book???
I know there’s a book 2, some series have several books but this isn’t a series, book 1 literally stops mid story so be aware that if you want to read/hear the whole story you’ll have to buy both books, I find it deceptive that there is nothing in the description that makes that clear.
