Frustrating

I can't rate the stories (although I know them) because they can't be heard here. The audio reader is not only terrible, she is ATROCIOUS! Her voice is nasally to the point of distraction and she drags the end of every. single. word. It's horrible. It's like forcibly having to listen to scratching on a chalkboard. Its so distracting it is very difficult to even understand what words she is even saying. I have tried so many times to listen to this, thinking maybe I just over dramatized how bad it is...nope, I didn't! I'm very sad I waited too late to return it. The stories are well worth reading, but DO NOT purchase this audio telling.

Great stories terrible narration

I just signed up for the free trial and I was really looking forward to this but Cathy Dobson narrates the whole thing terribly - I would have far sooner had Stephen Fry or somebody who has some sincerity and doesn't sound like a sarcastic primary school teacher. Extremely disappointing Audible!

Weird intonation with this recording

Not sure what's going on, but there is weird intonation on this recording. Sounds more like automated voice than a real person. Wasted money on this one! Good stories, so chose a different recording!

Hard to listen to

Well Cathy Dobson sounds like a real person, but sadly on this recording she doesn't.

Worst audio artist ever

The reader has no rhythm to her voice and makes even normal words sound bizarre normally I’d find this interesting but it ruined this for me
