Clarity

Clarity is a captivating listen with opposites attract. Nicole Dykes wrote a heartbreaking compelling story. Intricately weaving abuse, addiction, and redemption into a incredible listen. Blair and Rhys love is raw, real and gritty. I love how much depth Blair's character portrayed and Rys strength and determination was incredible. Supporting character's played a interesting role in Blair and Rhys romance. I enjoyed the bonus content and looking forward to what's next.

Kai Kennicott, Wen Ross performance hit it out of the park. They took it to another level. A emotional driven story that Kai and Wen brought it out in a realistic way. Wen Ross did Rys character justice with his deep baritone and Kai did an amazing performance of Blair. Her inflection changed with every emotion.

Soo Good!

This story will break your heart and build you back up again. There are some heavy topics that the characters endure in the past and present. The narration was on point and perfect for these characters.

Wonderful!

Nicole has written a powerful touching story! My heart go out to all of the kids that are in foster care that are being abused. Everyone needs to hear the story of the lucky ones and the not so lucky ones.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are masters narrating. They have great chemistry between them and it shows in their voices. Don’t miss this one!

I truly enjoyed this story! The characters were deep and complicated and watching them ban together for a similar cause was outstanding. Rhys is so trouble but watching him slowly let Blair in was perfect. It was well written and none of the actions or dialogue felt forced or unnatural. I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book but its was everything I didn't know I needed! I highly recommend this book if you're looking for something emotional and heartwarming.

Audiobook Performance: the narrators did a fantastic job bringing Rhys and Blair to life! I loved both of their voices for these characters. I did move the speed up to 1.3 since it was a little slow but other than that it was perfect!

Can you save them all?

My heart broke for everyone in this story! Growing up in the foster system and facing abuse, how do you get past it and learn to truly love? Can you open yourself up to try to save at least one? And how do you walk away from all the others? So much love to give without even realizing it. Loved everything about this story!

An intense performance!

Nicole’s writing is getting better with each book she releases. This story feels like the start of her darker books but the story is absolutely incredible.

Kai and Wen’s performances were wonderfully executed and I wouldn’t have wanted any other voice actors for these parts. Absolutely perfect!

I am such a believer in an opposites attract approach to romance. Someone who rounds out what’s been brought to the table, drawing the eye to the dynamic between lovers.
Rhys & Blair were just that. Complete opposites. Barbie & the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. You just know it’s going to be something to talk about.
Teaming them up, tackling the subject they did, it really was a perfect match. They needed one another to survive the storm and heal from the past and shed light on their futures.

I loved them so much. ALL of them.

The narrators absolutely brought this unconventional couple to life, and I loved listening to them. A great combo for sure.

Clarity

Clarity is a book about Rhys and Blaire. We meet both characters in Redemption. Rhys grew up in the foster system, and had a really rough upbringing. He is a man of few words, and doesn't like physical touch. Blaire has come from wealth, but acts out trying to get her father to notice her.

They have hooked up a few times, but it's always on Rhys terms. They both ended up moving to a new city, but Blaire wants nothing to do with Rhys. Something happens, and Rhys goes to Blaire for help. They end up in a fake relationship and living together. Rhys still has emotional baggage from the past, but Blaire is there to try to make him come out of it.

When something happens and Rhys has a breakdown, can Blaire be there to keep him away from the alcohol? I loved this story, and it really pulled on my heartstrings. Rhys had such a rough past, and to see that Blaire was there to help him work through it really brought out the feelings. He will do whatever he can to change a life of another, so they don't have to go through what he did.

I really liked getting to know these characters, and the narrators really brought the book to life!

A dark story that has some light in it.

This is a nice story...well not nice since the characters have deep dark issues that they act upon. How about good? A good story. I did enjoy parts of this and others not so much. The characters are interesting and they have wonderful friends. It was great to see the growth of Rhys. For a down on his luck guy to a extremely lucky guy. I didn’t see Blair as broken but a girl who knows what she wants and goes after it.

I did listen to this on audio. Kai and Wen do an amazing job as always.

Love Rhys

This is my first book by Nicole and boy, did I get a run for my money. I soaked in every word and loved it. Rhys and Blair will blow your mind. Amazing narration.
