Wow

This series left me feeling breathless. This audio boxset was insane. David and Olivia had me so far up in my feels I was absolutely drowning in emotions. The narrators did amazing and would highly recommend this audiobook.

Hot, angst, but infidelity? And the ending,... um,

Warning Spoilery-
LOVED LOVED LOOOVED the hero in this book. The heroine drove me absolutely nuts though with her incessant habit of becoming a giant flake, and there were a few plot holes that I would love to see an extended epilogue to clear up eventually- I know, dreamer keep dreaming lol. I would TOTALLY give 5 stars for that though! Why was she passing out and bruising so easily and cold all the time even after eating better/being happy and she never really said why she didn't want kids,... and man Bill was too nice tbh until the end when he got all pissed. I can kinda see why he would be a jerk for a while lol, but man, I'd love to see the kid thing... or at least them considering it after the house

Cityscape Affair Series: The Complete Box Set (A Forbidden Love Romance) is a excellently written contemporary romance. The writing is compelling and consistent. This trilogy progresses quickly and doesn't add unnecessary fluff. The story is realistic and fully blended into mini plots to the main story. This love story is intense with heartbreak, real, raw, and character chemistry is hot off the charts. The storyline comes full circle and ends happily.

Andi Arndt single narration performance was phenomenal. Every character emotion was brought out.

A solid listen

I love Andi arndt!

I love listening to Andi Arndt, the series though- I got really sick of the female main character insecurities and overthinking it. Every time there was a problem in the second book it was annoying. You’ll know what I mean once you listen to it.

My personal thoughts

Book 1:
It took me awhile to get into the story because to me, marriage is for life, a commitment of love. Therefore, this storyline was something I stray away from but decided to try. If Olivia couldn’t commit, she shouldn’t have married. I know people change and love change, I don’t have that experience but it hurts everyone involved. I only continue to listen to it because it was a different type of storyline except for the tall, handsome, sexy and rich guy protagonist.

Book 2:
I found that Olivia’s character is so selfish and stubborn that I couldn’t stand it and wanted to strangle her. She is so selfish in how she makes her decisions for everyone and unable to make up her mind. She knows she wants David, yet she keeps Bill in the dark instead of divorcing him. Then even when she told Bill the truth, she knows she’s in denial but won’t let go of Bill because she doesn’t want to be a divorcee. It took her so annoyingly towards the end of the novel to accept her feelings. Her character in book 2 was so frustrating that I wanted to stop listening but couldn’t because I already spent my credit on this trilogy and I can’t return it.

Book 3:
Someone as persistent and bossy and domineering like David is actually quite creepy and too pushy. Anyways, listening to how they had spark in each other and fell hard so fast is quite unrealistic. I found myself rolling my eyes so much throughout the entire novels, especially the last 2 novels. The author made Bill’s character to where we should understand why Olivia did what she did. Yet she also made Olivia’s character push everyone away so I can’t sympathize with her either for her actions. I was wondering when the author will make Bill’s character despicable and make me hate him so I can start rooting for David and Olivia. However, I still couldn’t hate Bill. Even with all those lovey dovey between the protagonists, I still couldn’t find myself to like their characters. Nothing is worst than betrayal by someone you thought love you.

Overall, the author brought a lot of emotions out of me so that’s a plus for the author. The author made David’s family too good to be true so it was hard to swallow because reality isn’t like that. The storyline is not my cup of tea. This will be my last book on husband and/or wife cheating on each other. I cannot relate to cheaters, so it was really hard to finish.

Olivia is such a B****

Oh God I'm finally finish with this book. Disappointing ending. I was HOPING olivia would accidentally got knocked up, that would have changed poor David situation and possibly made him a happy guy. I felt for that guy. Be strong David in the years to come with that women. You deserve a gold metal for your efforts.

Incredible story that keeps you enthralled

This storyline kept me enthralled for the entire 30+ hours. Olivia is a married young associate editor who is struggling with the image of a successful business woman that she has for her life and the suburban family and kids future that her husband, Bill sees. Olivia is stumbling through life trying to reconcile the two different visions when she meets David who really sees her. Should Olivia stay in the comfortable life she has where something is missing, or should she take a chance on disappointing everyone around her to follow her heart?

One of my new favorites!!

Audiobook Review

This is the second book with cheating that I’ve read, and I’m surprised how much I actually loved this story and the main characters so much. I was a little wary going into it but I’d say a few chapters in and I knew I was going to love Olivia and David Dylan. I mean these two are soulmates and from the second they meet one another you can feel that. Everything about this story and the characters has me smitten and completely blown away. It's a beautiful, emotional, sensual, heartbreaking, angsty read that will not want to let you stop until you’re done.

I think Olivia and David Dylan are two of my favorite characters. This book really sucked me in and had me on an emotional roller coaster of my life. However, this book is 100% not for everybody. If you are against cheating then this is definitely not a book for you and I do not suggest reading it. Just keep that in mind before picking it up.

Andi Arndt did an amazing job narrating this story. Her voice is soothing and very pleasant to listen to. Great job!!

Overall I really loved this series. This is definitely one of those series that I would definitely re-read. I can’t say enough good things about it.

Loved!

I loved this series! I’m not usually a fan of single narration audiobooks but Andi did such an amazing job that I didn’t even notice. This series was just amazing and I definitely recommend it to everyone! The storyline, which isn’t something I typically like to read or listen to was well developed and it draws you in. Plus, the characters were great. Definitely a must listen audiobook.

Boring and Far too long!

I have never read a book with a more selfish FMC! Olivia was in simple terms incredibly self centred and quite frankly I cannot understand why David would have chosen someone like her.

As for her inner monologue, I really didn't want to hear all Olivia’s selfish thoughts over and over ... and ...over again! it was so tedious!

This story could have wrapped up easily in two books, at the most and I am grateful I only wasted 1 credit, due to the boxset.

Andi Arndt was as good as ever!

Long winded

This very easily could have been one book. It was stretched by the heroines constant angst. I listened to the first and and second but really struggled with the third. I ended up skipping chapters. It was beautifully written and descriptive but I found the female character indecisive and annoying so not for me.

Wow!

This series had me hooked and gave me all the feels. Not the happy ending I was expecting, but very intense. Loved it!

And I mean Andi Arndt? Enough said!

Sexy story......but unrealistic

I have a lot of respect for any writer, or artist, that actually has the guts to create something beautiful. The story was sexy and the narrator was really good.
What I liked:
- During most of the story I was not sure what choice she would make so I enjoyed the unpredictability
What I didn't like
- David is unrealistic, no man like that exist in real life.

Oh WOW

So I am not a fan of a cheating story or love triangles, but this book I don’t know. David Dylan… Wow… I have no words. If you believe in the whole soul mates thing, then I can definitely say that David and Olivia are soul mates.

I have to say that Olivia and David even though they were opposites they compliment each other so well. Where Olivia has some insecurities, David is like the most confident, alpha, dominant, protective, sexy man you can ever meet. From the first time that David met Olivia he was infatuated with her and drawn to her where he has never felt that way about anyone before. So the fact that she was married was not what he expected.

When I started this trilogy I was not impressed but the more I listened and got immersed in the story I was hooked. I wanted Olivia to be with David and I wanted love to conquer all 😊 ♥ But its not an easy read/listen. Olivia sometimes had me wanting to scream at her, cause she just couldn’t make up her mind between David and her husband. And it was a bit back and forth, but in the end I think it came together nicely, and there was never any doubt from David, he was in it from the start to the end 😊
I have to say that Andi Arndt always does an amazing job narrating, but this one I’m sure couldn’t have been easy, but well done 😊 ♥

Loved it

I loved this trilogy! I wanted more and needed more and everyone needs to read it!

Not Enough

I love the story, wanted more I think in the end it was not enough. I needed more.

One word to describe this? Consuming

Now my first read from this author was the White Monarch trilogy and this..is not that. But what this is consumed me. Love triangles aren't for everyone, but certain people can and do do them well. Ms. Hawkins is one of those people. If you want tonnes of angst, steamy steam times, and a love triangle you really get hooked on, then you HAVE to meet David and Olivia. I volunteered to listen and review a complimentary copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Intense and Emotional!

This huge boxed set includes three full-length novels: Come Undone, Come Alive, and Come Together. Olivia and David's forbidden story is captivating. Their push and pull relationship is breathtaking, and sometimes overwhelming. They are opposites attract. Olivia has insecurities, and David is openly confident. They share an instant attraction, and a sizzling chemistry. They are perfect together. David is a most eligible bachelor, playboy, dominant, possessive, protective, and handsome. I like his persistence, and determination. His personality is overpoweringly attractive, and irresistible. Olivia is an interesting character, righteous, innocent, and defenseless. Their story is intense, emotional, and beautiful, filled with angst, betrayal, passion, and twists and turns. Andi Arndt did a spectacular job with the narration. Her range of voice is impressive.

Emotional Journey!

From the time that she was a child Olivia has seen what she doesn’t want in her future and every choice that she has made in life is based on that. She has been married for five years and is content with her life until David comes into her life and has her questioning if it is worth jeopardizing the life she has for the life she could have.

David was enchanted by Olivia from their first meeting, and he is drawn to her in a way that he has never felt before. He wants it all with her so finding out she is married is a complication she wasn’t expecting.

David and Olivia take us on an emotional rollercoaster as Olivia battles her feelings while he battles for her and tries to show her that the reward of being together is a risk worth taking. The narrator does a great job of bringing out every angst filled moment which allows us to experience Olivia’s journey in the same way she does.
