A sporadic overview at best

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Soldering information is not correct whatsoever, you will not be soldering anything at 300°F. The presentation of information follows no method whatsoever and touches on random information throughout.

circuit engineering

This is a good book about circuit engineering. I wish audible had more books about semiconductors.

rare citations, technical procedure, or theory

rare citations, technical procedure, or theory. the thing is mostly opinion. they use moreover every other sentence and you start counting it while trying to push through to the useful information. moreover, i learned nothing here

Great intro

it was good for someone just beginning with electronics. for more advanced readers, they might want to beyond this.

Informative & Interesting

It taught me a lot and made me excited to continue my education on the subject at hand.

Hard pass

This book was only $5 so I figured, "why not?" Bad idea. Unlike other audio books with diagrams, there is no accompanying PDF. Also, the writing is just bad. It jumps all over the place, backtracks, jumps ahead. No linear thought process. So I decided to just buy the book and read along with the audio book. The book is just as bad. It's nice to have the diagrams, but it's just poorly written overall.

horrible audio!

Every sentence starts with the first part clipped off. The first word of every sentence is at least partially if not completely missing. Absolutely unlistenable.

Too random

Some concepts explained in detail, others not at all. Random and dry. Like reading a dictionary.

Presenter has no ability to engage the audience or make the material interesting.

Alright

Any additional comments?

I am just happy to see an engineering subject in here. Yes, it could have been longer and better but it's a good introduction to get you thinking a little bit about electronics. I wish there was more engineering related subject on Audible.

Utterly pointlesd

The broadest of overviews, a complete waste of time and money.
The best advice is, and I quote directly from the book: go to instructables.com, you might actually learn something there.

i guess it meets the description

definately not worth more than $2. only covers some random basics but uses language a bit too high level.
