Worth the time but not all at once

Would you listen to Law 101 again? Why?

Yes, some of the explanations require me to listen to specific spots to figure out what is being said. I also would like to look up specific cases that are referenced to study them in depth.

What did you like best about this story?

I thought the author did as good as any person could do with this type of text.

Great for Law Prep

The book was easy to listen to and easy to understand. It provided a great level of knowledge for each topic; not so detailed that you would be lost and not so general that you can't find where to apply it. I find it a great resource when preparing for law school.

Great audio book

This is a great primer if you're considering law school. I already made up my mind to become an attorney and go through law school so buying this book was an immediate yes for me. I was not disappointed.

Excellent summary of American law presented in a very tangible manner.

This is an excellent introduction or review of many concepts discussed in the first year of law school. I wish I knew to read this before starting law school. Now I recommend it to those working in the legal world that would really benefit from understanding what they are contributing to.

Great Primer on a Fluid Topic

Despite best intentions and great knowledge on the author's part and fine narration and my own desire the book couldn't hold my interest. I suspect it was the subject matter, which began to seem so much a matter of opinion that maybe there is less to learn than I expected. Though it somehow works much of the time, I guess I'll eat the sausage for now and not watch how it's made. The law is a mashup, that's what I took away from 3 or 4 chapters. I may come back to it later when I have more patience.

Great Overview

I listened to this book as a 1L to help me see the big picture. I went into law school with no background in law and felt utterly lost.

Great Introduction for the curious

What made the experience of listening to Law 101 the most enjoyable?

An appropriate level of depth- detailed enough to be interesting and to appreciate some nuance, but not so detail focused as to get bogged down.

Citizen's Guide to the Law

This felt like a comprehensive overview of the courses you'd take as a first year law student. Absent the detailed case histories one would get in school, instead common, relatable examples were replete throughout the book, siding the person coming at this topic for the first time.

I plan to listen to this over and over

It can be difficult to soak up everything in the forest listen, but this book is extremely fascinating and will written. The reader was also easy to listen to and I enjoyed learning so much, so quickly about law.
