Publisher's summary

How much do you know about fairy godmothers?

There’s nothing magical about Linda’s life; cleaning up manure and shoveling hay as an overworked and underappreciated stable girl.

But when her tiny Montana town’s very own celebrity, star bull rider Blake Lockwood, comes to visit, there is a glimmer of hope for Linda to finally meet her childhood hero.

When Linda’s stepsisters, who have plans of their own for Blake, leave her stranded and covered in manure on the night of the annual barn dance, her chance to meet Blake vanishes like a puff of fairy dust.

Only when a bizarre old homeless woman appears bearing a surprising gift is Linda given her chance to shine.

Experience one of the most original comedies of the year in this laugh-out-loud, modern Cinderella story unlike any other!

Author’s note: While this book does contain some romance elements inherent in any Cinderella retelling, at heart it is a comedy, not a straightforward romance, and listeners should have this expectation when choosing the book. For clarification of the tone, listen to the audio sample!

the story was charming, with uncertain ending

the story was nice, however, it leaves you wonderin about an uncertain ending with family

even my husband enjoyed it

We listened to this on a short trip and ended up having
to play the end in the house. We both know the Cinderella story but had to find out how this version would get there. I giggled more than he did but we both enjoy Hallmark and Christmas movies so we both enjoyed this book.

A good twist on an old fairy tale!

Actually, quite a good twist on an old fairy tale and quite amusing too. Very much reminded me of a Rock Hudson / Doris Day film. The narration was clear and I could follow the story easily while on a long journey. In fact, it was my wife's idea to listen to it, I wasn't keen on the idea but in the end, I had to agree it was a pleasant way to spend an otherwise boring journey. I wish the author well and I know my wife is looking forward to more stories like this.

Cinderella Cowgirl

The book is not what I expected but I found that I liked it. The author puts her own twist to the original story and it is lighhearted and funny.

Very Funny!

This was a well written story and had a little bit of everything. It had romance, drama and a lot of humour. I enjoyed reading it and got some good laughs.

Witty and surprisingly relevant to today's time!

Though I rarely read fiction books nowadays, Cinderella Cowgirl has been such a delightful book to listen to.

I love that the vocabulary used was very detailed so I can almost see and smell every scene in my head. I especially love how the book introduced the Fairy godmother, it was hilarious! She's my favorite character. The delivery was also very well done. The tone of the narrator changes with each unique character to bring some color to the whole story - from the bimbotic stepsisters to the devilish stepmother to a quirky hippie elderly godmother.

Just a word of caution: the sense of humor might not be for everyone because it is quite dry and sarcastic but personally, I find it very funny and enjoyable.

Cinderella Cowboy is a fresh twist on the modern classic. It incorporated modern elements so it's relatable to our time today. Linda, the main protagonist, uses a phone, works in an office and loves the rodeo. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is bored with the usual "happily ever after" romance.

I’ve learned so much from this delightful little story, my favorite is: “magic is useful but there’s a reason it only lasts until midnight.”
(I’d received a free copy of this book to leave an honest review.)

Cinderella Cowgirl

This is a cute modern version of Cinderella as a stable girl. Blake turned out to be quite the catch and a nice choice for the prince. The step sisters and mom were pretty nasty in a modern kind of way. The fairy godmother is definitely not what you will expect, but she is fun and always looking out for Linda. I loved that she went with her in the carriage! The narration was nice. I received this book from audio-book boom in exchange for an honest review.

Cinderella Goes Country

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I didn't know if I was going to like this book at first. Her stepsisters are super shallow and basically suck. There was a touch of romance, but not a lot. I ended up loving it. It was laugh out loud funny and so so cute. I loved Blake and Linda and especially Carl. The narrator was good. I would read something else by this author.

Fresh twist on a classic

Loved this! It’s a refreshing variation on the theme. It’s lighthearted and actually incredibly funny. Loved some of the characters, and a couple twists to the classic tale. Perfect little weekend read.

Cute!

I enjoyed this audible so much that I listened to it without taking a break. I found the story to be sweet, charming and one I'll listen to often.
The narrator could do better with male voices but she still managed to make me feel like a part of the story.
I received this audible free at my request and I'm thrilled to be able to leave my review.
