This was one punny book—a great quick read. Drew did a great job with the narration.

Great Addition to Series

I really enjoyed this Hollydale story and its a great addition to the series. This is a sweet, no angst, slow-burn love story. I liked how their relationship grew from lust-filled one night stand to co-worker to friends to back to lovers. Their round about romance included and I loved Simon, Hugo's 4-year-old son, which definitely upped the cute factor for me. I enjoyed listening to the narrator and he kept me wanting to listen to the next chapter and helped me become more vested into the characters. Great read and listen for me during my commute.

My favorite so far

This sweet romance takes us back to the world of Hollydale, where we see old friends and new. However, it absolutely can be listened to and/or read as a standalone.

Todd is ready for a stress free night, so he goes out. He ends up getting a hot and sexy evening out of the deal. He has a big day coming up; Sausage Shack, his business that specializes in authentic sausages and the like, is getting a new employee. He's excited to see what this new addition to the business will bring to aid in his plan. But seriously, the Sausage Shack steels part of the show with the comedy it adds to the story.

Hugo is a single father who has left a great job as a high-end cicerone and moved to Hollydale to take on a much lower paying job at a restaurant as the brewmaster. He is excited because he is going to be able to create his own artisanal brews, and possibly bottle them if he can convince the owner. When he shows up for work, he's surprised to find out that his hookup from the night before is his new omega employer.

They decide to play it cool and start with working together. Friendship soon follows, especially with Simon and his absentee mother in the mix. Eventually, things move forward, with Hugo getting to chat with the three mysterious mill girls. Simon is adorable, and I enjoyed watching his relationship with Todd unfold. But, his mom is a real piece of work, and tries to get in the way of our MC's happiness.

Along the way, Todd has realized that he isn't just sick, but he hasn't told Hugo. The ex is a big sticking point, and something's got to give. Eventually, Hugo realizes what has been happening, and acts on his instincts. This leads him back to Todd's door and yet another surprise. When all is said and done, the ex is a PITA, but comes around, and our MCs and Simon get their HEA.

Drew Bacca did a great job with the narration once again. The characters are well differentiated, and the pace of the story is kept smooth.

Great addition to this series

This entire series is just too cute for words. If you want relatively low angst sweet sugary reads this series is for you. In this latest installment we have Todd, Scott’s twin, who is the owner of the Sausage Shack who has hired a brewmaster sight unseen. Hugo who is a single father wanting to raise his son Simon away from the craziness of a big town. Their initial meeting, unbeknownst to either of them, is actually at a club where they have a one night stand. When they officially meet the next day, they were surprised to say the least. What we have is a surprise pregnancy, an alpha and omega who is unsure if they want be a couple, a cute sweet little boy. Oh and a not so nice, turned nice ex.

Great Story

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. Another great book by Susi. This story is about Todd and Hugo. Todd decides to go out after some nudging from his twin brother Scott. He meets a hot alpha and they go to the jungle room. They only exchange numbers but the next day at work Hugo realizes that the cute omega he met last night is actually his new boss. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

You remember we are a family

This has zero angst and it was definitely what I was looking for at the time. ☺️ I have not read any of the Hollydale Omegas stories but this can definitely standalone since I had no problem following the storyline. 💚

Todd is a strong and independent Omega who runs his own business, Sausage Shack, where he sells artisanal sausages. Now he’s thinking to expand his business with artisanal beer too and decided to hire a cicerone to brew their own in-house beer. Being exhausted from working too hard, Todd decided to unwind and have fun for a night. There he met a gorgeous Alpa and has one unforgettable, passionate life. Next morning, the gorgeous Alpha who throughly debauched him last night turned out to be his new master cicerone. Plus, now he’s carrying Hugo the cicerone’s child. Todd has to be brave enough and embrace the change in his life if he’s ever to have a happily ever after.

The beginning started really strong but the middle part was a little bit long and slow-burn. Without the help of Simon, this two would take forever to finally get together. 😁 I loved that precocious child, so intelligent and lovely and kind. 💙 It’s a nice slow-burn romance with a bit of conflict, an evil ex turned out to be an oblivious darling and a dash of paranormal goodness. Loved it. Quick, fun and sexy. And Drew Becca did a great job narrating this story. 👏 I have to go back and listen other Hollydale stores. 😉

Loved Little Simon!

I loved this story, Todd was a sweet and direct. Hugo made me a little mad for not calling his ex on her crap but he was nice. But the show stealer was Simon he was the cutest little thing! Drew Becca did a great job with him!

Super Sweet

This is a super sweet addition to the series and if you're familiar with Hawke at all you know this is a quick fun feel good listen. Bacca does a great job with the narration.

Another Great Hollydale Story

Welcome back to Hollydale, where the unexplained is a part of the world - and usually helps couples find love! This time we have the spirit of little girls who are around the former mill, where the Sausage Shack now finds its home. Todd, the omega running the Sausage Shack, goes out for a night at the Big O where he ends up hooking up with a new alpha. But what he doesn't expect is to later find out that his hook-up is the new brewmaster at the Sausage Shack. Hugo has moved across country for his new job, bringing along his son, to try and find somewhere to "settle down". As Hugo and Todd work together and become friends, their feelings become stronger - leading to an unplanned pregnancy. But can these two find a way to combine their private and professional lives to make a family?
This book is one that is fits well in the Hollydale Series, full of fun characters (both human and spirits), a low-angst storyline and some sweet steamy scenes! Todd and Hugo are great characters and are a perfect match and watching their relationship unfold is fun and entertaining. I love the secondary characters of these books - and this one is no different. Watching our favorites from past books pop up is a welcome surprise.
Drew Bacca did another amazing performance with the narration, giving each character a unique voice and allowing this story to come to life.
Great continuation of the series, and I can't wait for more!

what a sweet series

this is my go to series for a sweet read (or listen). I really wish there was a holly dale to visit. oh and the sausage jokes will make you chuckle.
