The story is about Evie, she is British, and always dreamed of going to New York to spend Christmas there with her mom, sadly, her mom dies and she gets scammed online but then gets an offer of a lifetime, the Plaza hotel in New York contacts her to come to New York and spend Christmas there as a part of a PR scheme she agrees and goes, and there she meets Noah, he is a football(soccer) player who has his won scandal to run away from, one thing leads to another and they have to fake date and explore New York together ..
As a summary the book looked just like my type and I was very excited to read it, unfortunately, the writing style was really boring for me, nothing was really happening and I really didn't care for Noah, he is selfish and a jerk for the most part, I feel like I was forced to see him as charming just because he is a MC of the story
I liked the cozy atmosphere of the book but the story was really boring for me
also, the guy narrator was the best part of the audiobook, good job
