Truly Amazing

This is one of the best books I’ve read this year - quite potentially one of the best I’ve ever read. The story was wonderful but the integration of faith and the love of God was outstanding! I could relate with Ellie in her striving for meaning and identity in academics and her work. And I felt it was genuine and real in the way she came to find her identity in Christ. Most Christian Fiction books are well done and the reader experiences the faith of the main characters. This book, however, contained a much deeper faith and understanding of God’s true live! It is truly amazing!

Wonderful Story!

I loved this story! The narrator did an amazing job with the various voices and accents. Marc is such a memorable hero! Ellie’s lessons and faith journey made the story especially meaningful. The beautiful descriptions brought each scene to life. I’m eager to read more from Ann Swindell!

New favorite

I have read and listened to more books than I could ever count. I have been touched by many and have my share of favorites. I can confidently say that this is now a permanent favorite that I believe will shape my views the rest of my life. I love that the main female character is full figured. This book in no way shies away from having a message of faith and the love Christ has for each of His followers. Our value is not based on our looks, our talents etc. It is based on Whose we are. This is a book I expect to read and listen to many times in my life.

Strong faith elements and clean romance

Wonderful narrator brought the story to life in the audiobook version of this book. Loved the growth that Ellie experiences by the end of the story, the castle setting, the library, the historical mystery, and the people of Lethersby. And Mark is absolutely charming and swoon worthy! Can’t wait for book 2!

I want more!!!

I waited patiently for this novel to be recorded in audiobook and was not disappointed to finally get to experience the magic for myself. I gifted the book to a friend for Christmas and she loved it as well. I loved the Christian storytelling without it being cringy or awkward. Actually, my heart was encouraged and convicted in a very real way and I fell in love with the characters! I hope this is the first of many from this author!
