A Hallmark Movie of the Week

An awfully simple little story in which everyone is good; all, or almost all of the citizens of a small Vermont town are all on the same page and all are willing to help. In the end they all come together for the dedication of a new Veteran's Center that will be followed by a job fair. This is a totally sappy story; yet it works.
Sometimes you just wanna feel good and listen to a positive message. I purchased this one for the setting and the story came through. If you're looking for anything rough, gritty, or realistic; skip this selection, it's a total feel good piece of fiction.

the narration was robot-like

The story was sweet, but the narrator's voice sounded like the voice from my kindle text to voice feature, so automated.

Not good..

I read several reviews on Amazon and they all said the same thing: "sappy," and it really was. And the narrator made it even sappier and so boring. He read like a robot and the women's voices were horrible. This was written by a man so I should have known there wouldn't be any romance in it unless you count them holding hands when they were buried under the rubble, at least nothing up until I stopped reading at 63%. There was not a bit of emotion in anyones voice in the entire story. From the time Jack saved Hope when the school blew up until he was showing her around his hometown in Vermont the voices never changed. I would never recommend listening to this story, or reading it for that matter, it's so boring.

A feel good story very easy to isten to enjoyed it very much it was a bit predictedable but still enjoyable
