Loved the story, the history, and the character development. Would highly recommend this author, especially to women.

short and sweet!

I had no idea how much I love feel good books! I really like Tamera Alexander's books and this is no different. I wish it was longer, but it's short and sweet! My only problem is the narrator, it was way too fast, but I was able to slow it down to make it better!

Another exceptional story from Tamera Alexander.

Tamera has taken us back in history again, with her wonderful story and attention to detail. Her writing is exquisite, which is why she's one of my favorites. I enjoyed the friendship between Tempy and Aleta. Jake and Aleta's journey is lovely, and a must read. I'm excited for the Carnton Series.

For the LOVE of Carnton and Franklin

I have visited Carnton twice. I fell in love the first time and haven’t been able to forget about it or Franklin since. I live in Columbus GA and have all my life, but my heart has remained in Franklin. This book took me back there. It’s great and I can’t wait to read the others.

Loved the story *and* narrator!

Usually I just love a story but hate the narrator and vice versa. But this time I loved both. The southern accents were just enough, and the male impersonations didn't detract from the story at all.

The storyline has quite the twist, which had me examining my thought process for a bit.

A lovely book, that didn't try to make a ton of angst, misunderstandings, and tension between the main characters. It made the two seem more normal rather than the soap opera car​i​ca​tures many authors like to present.

This book didn't give me a headache from the characters doing and saying stupid things, nor did it cause me to shut it off because I couldn't take the foolishness.

I was so deep into the story that I lost all sense of time and place. For me, that means it's exceptionally well written and narrated. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

Loved It

I just discovered this Author and I read all three books in this series in less than a week. However the narrator in this one was good but sometimes the characters sounded the same. Other than that it was great!
