A nice, short cozy mystery!

Sabrina is the unpaid consultant to her small town detective husband, but this time she has to help from a safe distance due to a recent positive pregnancy test. She found a friend dead in his living room and it was no accident. Lots of irate and noncompliant suspects complicate the investigation right up to its resolution.
The story is good, but I wasn't in the mood for a melodramatic narration. Sorry.

A perfect ending to this series that leaves you feeling complete. I absolutely loved this whole series. Writing is perfect for sweet, cozy mysteries.

Sabrina & David are normally a crime solving duo who do everything together. This time around though, Sabrina is trying her hardest to stay far away from crime because she found out she’s pregnant! However, circumstances pulled her in, and the duo are back together for another short & enjoyable cozy!

CHOCOLATE PUDDING WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the eleventh book in the Daley Buzz Mysteries series. Each cozy mystery will stand on its own, but the background story of Sabrina’s life is best enjoyed if you read them all in the order of release.

I love this family-friendly series, and this is a perfect contribution to the storyline. I love David’s protectiveness of his newly growing family.

Having Sabrina trying to be more stand-back, means most of the story was David explaining what he found at work and her helping to brainstorm like a good little wifey at home. This didn’t feel like the Sabrina I’ve come to know. Of course, she couldn’t stay completely out of it…

Narration: Another new voice for the Daley Buzz family, Stephanie Quinn did a great job. Her voice is clear and consistent, and she maintains a good pace throughout. I’m not particular fond of the voice she produced for David – he sounds too old – but that’s the problem with coming in to voice a series on the 11th book.

Protect that bun...

Sabrina and David are expecting a bundle of joy, so when a murder case comes up, it only makes sense for Sabrina to take a step back. No matter how hard she tries to stay out of it, the behind the scenes work just keeps pulling her back in!

As a new narrator to the series, i found that Stephanie Quinn’s interpretations of the characters was a little off from what I’ve come to expect. It wasn’t bad, just different.
