A Chimera’s Revenge by Eve Langlais
4th book in the Chimera Secrets series.
Light humerus paranormal (aka a bit freaky or whacky) where the couple in each book is mostly resolved but there is an overall arc and cliffhanger typically in the last page epilogue.
This particular book is best read as part of the series. Prior couples have important roles in this book.
This book is about the doctor, Adrian and his past. Back in high school, Jane occasionally stood up for Adrian in front of others. That fact alone, had Arian saving and trying to revive her. Using the methods and formulas he perfected on his other subjects including himself.
“First rule of a mad scientist: Deny, Deny, Deny.”
Some funny quips. Jane has issues and they are a bit scary - in an OMG, really? kind of way. I’m very glad this is fiction....
I love reading this author. She not afraid to take those hilarious steps into the strange paranormal.
I alternated between the paperback and the audio version. The audio was narrated by Troy Duran who has done more in this series. His female voices are kind of funny but then so are the characters. He does a great job with inflection and tone.
