Publisher's Summary

This audiobook bundle includes four favorite Christmas titles

J Is for Jesus by Crystal Bowman

I want a candy cane too! Everyone loves a candy cane - but it’s easy to overlook the meaning of this familiar Christmas tradition in all the hustle and bustle of the season. This sweet story reminds little ones that the candy cane represents Jesus’ birth and the gospel message, too.

My Christmas Gift by Crystal Bowman

The sounds, sights, smells, tastes, and textures of Christmas are everywhere - but one child asks, “What can I give to Jesus?” This thoughtful story answers the question and encourages young children to consider the real meaning of the holiday.

The Legend of St. Nicholas by Dandi Daley Mackall

The Legend of St. Nicholas tells the story of a young man named Nicholas who was moved by the plight of the poor and needy. Nicholas spent his life secretly helping the poor all over the world, giving gifts on Christmas Eve to remind people of the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. This gentle Christmas book introduces the original St. Nicholas and offers inspiration for listeners to become cheerful givers themselves.

The Legend of the Candy Cane by Lori Walburg

One dark November night, a stranger rides into a small prairie town. Who is he? Why has he come? The townspeople wish he were a doctor, a dressmaker, or a trader. But the children have the greatest wish of all - a deep, quiet, secret wish. Then a young girl named Lucy befriends the newcomer. When he reveals his identity and shares with her the legend of the candy cane, she discovers fulfillment of her wishes and the answer to her town’s dreams. Now will she share what she has learned?

Better as a picture book

Unfortunately these titles are just better as actual books. The first two are mostly rhyming poetry. Didn't get to the next two but they do look slightly more substantial. My littles just couldn't pay attention. They have listened to tons of books including the complete Fablehaven/Dragonwatch series, Artemis Fowl series, A Year Down Yonder, Little House series, Nancy and Plum, Mrs Pigglewiggle, Zoe and Sassafras, etc... So if they won't listen I'm not sure anyone would! These sweet stories just aren't the same without beautiful pictures and a warm lap.
