A Must-Listen for Parents Raising a Child w/ ADHD

As someone with a background in psychology, I was thrilled to hear such an insightful and well-informed perspective on the topic of ADHD. Roxana C's use of the terms "neurotypical" and "neurodivergent" was spot-on and really helped me understand the unique challenges faced by children with ADHD.

One thing that really stood out to me was Roxana C's personal experience of living with undiagnosed ADHD for many years of her life. She provided so many relatable examples and pieces of advice that are invaluable to parents raising a child with ADHD or those who suspect their child may have it. I particularly appreciated how she explained the differences between ADHD behaviors and those that may appear similar but are not related to ADHD.

I also want to give a special shoutout to the narrator of the audiobook. They did an amazing job of bringing the text to life and making it engaging to listen to.

Overall, I highly recommend "ADHD and Emotional Intelligence" to anyone looking to better understand and support children with ADHD. It's a must-listen for any parent or caregiver.

Great book

I found this book to be really compassionate towards children with adhd. A relative has recently been diagnosed and so I wanted to understand it a little bit more.
The author shares her experiences of parenting a child with adhd and gives useful suggestions on how to deal with certain situations such as choosing a school and how to deal with certain behaviours
Such a useful book for anyone who knows someone with adhd

Great for Parents

I'm concerned my son has some ADHD tendencies and since I have no experience I wanted a book to help me understand the diagnosis but also do a deep dive in understanding him better, how is brain works, and anything I can do to help him become his best self.

The book did help to put myself in his shoes and understand the world from his perspective. The book also gave me a lot of good information and lifestyle changes that we can do as a family to help support him on his journey and become a positive member of society.

Complete Guide for ADHD

The audible " ADHD and Emotional Intelligence" I see as a very good resource for parents and health professionals to help understand ADHD children. The wealth of information shared has made me feel more confident about how to approach children and individuals with ADHD and understand them better. Prior to having this book, it was such a challenge dealing with ADHD kids. Our kids deserve all the love they can get and this is one way to enable that to happen. A really good resource to have.

Approaching neurodiversity with wisdom

Neurodiversity is widespread and every parent should have a minimal understanding or awareness of what it is. This guide does more than that; it tackles another sphere of ADHD, putting emphasis on the positive that comes from this neurological disorder, as well as effective parenting methods through EI. I loved the case studies section! This listen is so full of valuable information. With an emphasis on ADHD, the advice and tips within these pages allow us to understand and intervene positively to deal with the ups and downs that can occur while caring for children with impulsive and seemingly unmanageable behavior. It enables us to rethink how we react and to grow as a person as we try to provide the best care for our little ones. A must-listen for parents and carers everywhere.

Insightful case studies

My favorite part of this book was the case studies. It gave me a new perspective on some situations I've experienced with my son. I've been looking at things from my point of view, which is to be expected, but I never knew how to see things from his perspective. I think this will help me handle difficult situations with my son in a more effective way now that I have a better understanding of what is really going on.
