Publisher's Summary

With her murderous maker still on the run, Cherry has enough on her mind even before her newly turned boyfriend, Alex, demands they meet each other's parents. Constantine, her ex and now member of the vampire council, is suspiciously quick to allow this breach of vampire law. It soon becomes clear there's a lot Cherry doesn't know about her family's past.

And it's threatening her present and her future.

Alex is changing, Ádísa is dead but not as gone as she should be, and feelings forced aside are reconsidered. Back in her hometown, and faced with an overabundance of new information, Cherry is determined to fight for herself, her family, and her man.

That's when her world is turned upside down.

Again.

I have become a fan! Highly recommended

Cherry Blossom is the second book in the Vampire Cherry series. They really need to be listened to in order, as Cherry Blossom picks up straight after the dramatic ending of Cherry Stem.

In this one, Cherry, Constantine and Alex are trying to track down Cherry’s maker while also struggling to cope with Alex’s new status as a fledgling vampire. As a consequence, Cherry and Alex’s relationship is starting to suffer. The bedroom scenes are taking a much darker turn in this book. While I wasn’t all that convinced about the cheating ex Constantine in the last book, he is really starting to redeem himself in this one. The dynamics between the three are just brilliant.

In Cherry Blossom, Cherry finally gets to see her parents again and makes some remarkable discoveries along the way.

While this book is a lot more disturbing and intense than the first, there were still plenty of hilarious one liners that made me smile. I really enjoy Sotia Lazu’s style of writing. The author has created quite a fresh and original plot that is different from other stories in this genre. While I thought I had pretty much figured out where this series was going while listening to the first book, there were some great twists in this second installment that left me wanting to continue with this series immediately. I really hope Sotia Lazu will publish the third Cherry book in the near future (PLEASE) and that the audio will once again be narrated by Wendy Trent King.

Wendy Trent King has quickly become one of my favorite female narrators. I can really only reiterate what I have already said about her performance for Cherry Stem. She is simply spot-on. There was nothing that I didn’t like about her narration. There were no issues with the production quality.

I have become a fan! Highly recommended for all fans of paranormal romances / urban fantasy.

We SO Need Book 3

The continuing adventures of Cherry, Alex, Constantine and company!! Alex is dealing with ch-ch-ch-ch-changes and advancing his relationship with Cherry to the "meet the parents" phase. Cherry's family history is rather intriguing, and Alex' behavior appears to be more than just your average alpha male possessiveness. Scary drama, trust issues and family secrets. Roomies and road trips and surprises abound. No cliffhanger, but there was pertinent information delivered in the final paragraph that makes me wish Book 3 was already in my library!! Wendy Tremont King again does a great job. Totally credit-worthy!

Very enjoyable second book in the series

Would you listen to Cherry Blossom again? Why?

No, I don't tend to listen to audiobooks more than once.

What does Wendy Tremont King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings the characters of this world to life. It simply wouldn't be the same reading this book.

LilyElement Book Reviews - Cherry Blossom

Any additional comments?

Cherry Blossom is book two in the Vampire Cherry series. This time around Cherry, our leading lady, is on the hunt for her maker. He went MIA and the team is going to have to track him down. She's also faced with the ramifications of turning her boyfriend Alex into a vampire. Everything is not peachy keen at casa Constantine (Cherry's ex). I will say, true to real life, the couple seems to gloss over potential issues. They let little things go, or don't want to talk about something since it would push the other's buttons. It all adds up and that's not good. You know it will cause drama later down the line.

I felt like Cherry Blossom has a stronger family element when compared to book one. Alex, still having his human mentality wants to meet Cherry's parents. She hasn't seen or talked to them since she was turned years ago. All the little things I noticed in book one were brought to the forefront and expanded upon, which I really enjoyed while reading. I'm wondering where book three will lead. I'd recommend this series if you're looking for a vampire Paranormal Romance.

The Narrator:
As in book one, I really enjoyed Wendy Tremont King's performance. Her voice was expressive and kept my attention. I will be listening to some of the other audiobooks she's narrated in the future.

PS: I finally figured out where I had heard her voice before, I had listened to a sample of Carrots by Colleen Helme!

Awesome new addition to the series!

This was an excellent book. It's an absolutely thrilling and cohesive continuation of Sotia Lazu's Cherry Vampire series. This sequel was as good as the first book in this series but it also has an entire new level of complexity and emotion between Cherry, Alex, and Constantine. I can't wait for the next installment to be released!

book 2 - Vampire Cherry

This is book 2 in Lazu's series Vampire Cherry. A great addition to this series where the plights continue for Cherry and her new beau Alex. Their relationship takes some hits as Alex tries to find his place in his new life as well as his relationship with Cherry. Is love enough to save them all or will jealousy be their doom? More paranormal mysteries are reveled which rather than causing relief seems to cause more problems...well written and well narrated. I can't wait to see what will be next in this dynamic duo..trio?!?

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

listen to book 1 hoping book 2 would draw me in

I can't believe how many of the cherry books there are because they really don't go anywhere as far as story wise. There is no real big thrills in them. At least not the first two books. I hate leaving bad or so-so reviews but I believe in giving my honest opinion. This is very dry reading, some sexual situations in fact cherry I don't think likes clothes much, her now vampire cop boyfriend and her can be facing major trouble but a rump in the bed in cherry's ex lover's house is much more important. I'd pass if your looking for a good vampire adventure book.
