This is the second book in the In Clear Sight series. Anne is use to running her ranch by herself. So she is a bit rough around the edges. Grayson aka Gray was an undercover DEA agent needs to go into hiding. Max from book one has brought Gray to Anne’s ranch. The sexual tension is flammable between Anne and Gray. Daryl Hix and Gomez Pugh did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Anne is now the owner of a longhorn cattle ranch after the death of her father. Grayson is an undercover DEA agent now in hiding on Anne's ranch when the man he took down escapes custody. Helping Anne around her ranch brings them closer together and they decide to give into their attraction to one another. When danger finally finds Grayson, he realizes for the first time in his life, he's found the woman who makes him whole but will it be the end or will he and Anne get their HEA.

Hot and steamy with some suspense thrown in. Narrators were great!

With unexpected twists and turns, a dirty-talking hero that steams up the pages and a take no prisoners heroine, Cherished By The Agent was a fast paced, steamy story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Anne and Gray were HOT!!

Anne is such a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants. She is used to taking charge but sometimes she would like someone else to take the reins. Gray seems to instinctively know what she needs and he sees through to her heart from the moment they meet.

Gray is running from his past and thinks he is a monster, but underneath, he is really a fierce protector. He’s willing to sacrifice so that others have a better life. When he meets Anne, he truly begins to open up and feel for the first time in a very long time.

These two have a scorching hot chemistry that lights up the pages. Plus they truly understand each other and give each other the space and support that the other needs. Their relationship develops quickly, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have a strong foundation and a deep understanding of one another.

Daryl Hix and Gomez Pugh narrated the audio and were fantastic as Gray and Anne. I enjoyed listening to their performances and found myself immersed in the story all over again.

Cherished By The Agent is full of heart-stopping suspense and steam. This couple fights for each other and will do anything to protect one another and had me turning the pages late into the night.

New to author

I absolutely loved this story. The narration was great. The characters were were a hoot. I hope to hear more about the side characters.

Excellent Story & Listen🎧Gripping & Sizzling Hot!

Kennedy L. Mitchell pens another winning novel set in her “In Clear Sight” series and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. Each book in the series features different lead characters and while their story stands on its own, characters from the previous book make an appearance, so enjoying the series in order written is beneficial. This second book is Grayson and Anne’s story and Mitchell turns up the heat for these two, the chemistry between them is electric and smoking hot. Grayson, former marine turned DEA agent, has worked uncover trying to take down a crime boss who was the ringleader to a human trafficking ring exploiting young girls and women. It was a brutal assignment, and he finally takes him down, but the horrors were not over for him, because the perpetrator escaped federal custody. Grayson is forced into protective custody and is moved into witness protection, going to a safe house in Texas. Anne, a veterinarian, took over her father’s long horn ranch after his passing and it has been a struggle to keep up with the work. Part of that struggle is they do not give her the same respect as they would a man and her workers think they can get over on her, but she is one tough cookie and does not tolerate that. Anne has a cabin on her property used as a temporary safe house and Max Williams, the US Marshall, drops off her next guest, Grayson. Both Anne and Grayson are lost and broken in their own ways, but that does not stop the attraction they feel towards each other. Grayson tries to fight it, but they can only deny an attraction like that for so long. I thought these two were great  together and for each other, two powerhouses that get each other. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, some angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Kennedy L. Mitchell, thank you for entertaining me with another amazing story and wild and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧And for the fantastic narration, Daryl Hix and Gomez Pugh did an amazing job portraying the characters, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable. Pugh nailed it as Grayson, grasping every aspect of his personality, from his tormented side and inner turmoil to his protective and caring side. Hix’s Anne was spot on, grasping her personality completely, as well as her strength and determination. Both were just as great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen. 

New to me narrators

These are new to me narrators but they did a fabulous job with Gray and Anne. They brought their story to life and had me enjoying every minute of this audiobook.

Cherished by the Agent

Cherished by the Agent is the second book in the In Clear Sight series. I haven't read book one, so this could be read as a standalone. However, I enjoyed this book so much that I want to go back and read book one.

This book is about Grayson and Anne and is told from both of their points of view. Grayson is an undercover DEA agent, and when something happens he is forced to go into witness protection. When he gets to where he has to go he meets Anne. A woman who won't take anything from anyone. She works at the place he is staying, and both characters start to have an attraction for each other.

Grayson starts to help Anne, as he has nothing to do, but he has to stay hidden from everyone. I loved the banter between the characters, and getting to know them, as they got to know each other.

What happens when Anne figures out who Grayson is, will his safety be in jeopardy? Will the person who put Grayson into hiding be found? Will Grayson and Anne get a happy ending?

I enjoyed this book, and want to continue with this series.

Loved Grayson and Anne!

This is the 2nd book in the series and a stand-alone, but it is better if you have read the first book since the great characters from that book are in this one.  The US Marshall Max, who we met in book 1, brings Grayson to Anne’s ranch for protective custody to protect him from a DEA undercover operation he was involved in.  Anne is a tough woman who runs the ranch but the ranch hands don’t treat her like they would if she was a man and it is frustrating to her.  Grayson falls for Anne pretty quickly but doesn’t want to put her in danger if the people after him come looking for him.  Anne is looking for someone to prove that she isn’t broken and their attraction is off the charts when they get together.  This story is suspenseful, exciting, spicy and has some TW on the trafficking and drug scene.  This was a great story that I really loved and can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series.  The narrators were new to me and were fantastic!  Their voices showed all the emotions and feelings of the characters and really made the book enjoyable to listen to.

Steamy Action HEA

I hated that it took me so long to be able to finish this book. I lost my earbuds over Christmas and I couldn't listen with an audience! I was absolutely invested in these characters. I think Anne is a very relatable character who I was cheering on this whole book! Gray might be a morally grey character but sign me up! So if you're looking for suspense/action and steam then start this book now!

Grayson was working 3 years as an undercover for the DEA to get solid evidence on a crme boss.
When he jumped.bail, Grayson was put in protective custody on a ranch in Texas.
Anne is a strong, self sufficient woman, but vulnerable. She is running the ranch after her father passed.away. She has long days running the ranch by herself. She has a hard time getting ranch hands to work for her.
Grayson is impressed how independent and sassy she is.
Their connection is instant and electric.
This story is action packed, exciting, suspenseful, dangerous an steamy.
Daryl Hix portrays Anne with perfection, she captures her sassiness, strength and feeling of despair.
Gomez Pugh has the sexy voice of Grayson and captures the voices and personalites of the characters. I really enjoyed listening to this story.
