I want my money back

this book is a rip off of American monsters by linda s. godfrey.
do not waste your credits or money, the author doesn't seem to take the subject of cryptids serious, the stories are almost exactly like that of those sites or books that talk about each state

Baseball great Larry Byrd. Rapid fire info.

Rapid fire info with very little substance on many subjects, and more than a few inaccuracies.

Fun and doesn't take itself to seriously

Both the author and narrator have fun with this, and unlike other books similar to this, it doesnt take itself to seriously, poking a bit of fun at some points. Unlike Linda Godfrey who writes similar books and seem to believe all tales told to her, here there is some light fun poked at both believers and skeptics.

Enthusiastic

A fun retelling of some classic and obscure monster legends. Told with a healthy grain of salt, the stories may be too simplified for well read paranormal fans.

Buzzfeed listacle of a monster book

It’s as if someone wanted to write a book report of all 50 states versions of “Weird {state name}” (e.g. “Weird NJ”) in the form of a Buzzfeed listacle. As for the performance it’s as if the reader is auditioning to read the birthday segment of Entertainment Tonight.

Uninteresting and boring as heck

Don't bother with this book. It's not worth your time, credits, or money. Just a junk book.

A good, quick read that will keep you listening.

It seems like Chasing American Monsters is a fast reading A to Z of American Cryptids. It should be a learning experience for most enthusiasts. I imagine it covers almost all cryptids of the USA but that's all really. The stories are very quickly skipped over but the point seems to be more focussed on what has been seen without any great detail. I enjoyed it and I recommend it but it will leave you more curious than you were before you started listening. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
