New York Times bestselling author Karen Hawkins is back with a brand-new, sizzling series featuring three unforgettable, untamed brothers who must marry or risk losing their inheritance.

Dashing Scottish privateer Conner Douglas must marry a respectable, well-born woman—and soon, if he wants to secure his rightful inheritance. Determined to still explore the high seas as well as his mistresses’ beds, he aims to find a pliable wife who’ll turn a blind eye to his antics. And he knows just the woman—childhood friend and mousy spinster Miss Theodora Cumberbatch-Snowe.

Unbeknownst to Conner, meek and plain Theodora has been hopelessly in love with him for years. But unwilling to wait forever for what will never happen, Theodora plans to wed a kind—if unexciting—local landowner, leaving behind the wild Highlander of her dreams.

Yet Conner refuses to let his perfect wife get away. He chases her to Gretna Green and is shocked to discover the real Theodora is an ardent and wildly sensual woman. Soon he realizes his passion to win her has nothing to do with securing his inheritance and everything to do with earning the love of the unforgettable woman who has vowed to leave him in her past forever. But have his wandering ways chased the woman he loves away for good? Or can Conner convince Theodora to give him one last chance before she marries the wrong man?

Another cute story by Karen Hawkins. It reminded me of one of her MacLean stories. I wish that series was in audio.
After the death of his wife, The Duke of Hamilton promised her to make sure her 3 brothers marry. Middle brother, Conner Douglas must marry in 3 months or lose his in inheritance. He has no intention of giving up his freedom. So he heads off to a childhood acquaintance, now a lousy spinster. He believes she is the solution.
Let the chasing begin. Lots of laugh out loud moments. #Romance #funny #Scottish Narrator was very good! Very easy to listen to. Will definitely listen to him again!

There are so many opportunities the author misses. Theodora is a 27 year old spinster, but the reasons for this are not realistic for the time period. Making her 22/23 would work better. Theo has been madly in love with Conner, yet the author doesn’t do this justice. Not a lot of longing moments, and too many hurtful or vengeful ones. Theo seems to want to “get him back” for not noticing her. I also felt like the story dragged out, and introducing new characters was not a solution. The narration was fine.

Very enjoyable "elopement" story where the intended bride is eloping with the wrong groom. I love how Karen Hawkins inserts her love for pirates in this book as the Scot in question is a privateer. He definitely meets his match and his equal in Miss Theodora Cumberbach-Snowe (love the name!) who refuses to marry the man of her dreams without love. You go girlfriend!

Caught By The Scot was a thoroughly Enjoyable Story.

After the death of there beloved sister Anna Duchess of Hamilton. The Douglas brother Connor, Jack and Declan are told there sister, whom had controlled of there inheritances that they must marry within 3 months or there inheritance will be giving to there enemies the Campbells. This part didn't make much sense because if they are clan enemies who would leave there money and lands to them. Anyway this does prompt the brothers to go look for wives.

Connor knows who he will marry his best friends sister Lady Theodora Cumberbach-Snowe. They have been close friends for many years and she would make the perfect wife. She a spinster well on the shelf at 27.

Connor gets to her home only to find out she has eloped to Gretna Green with a Squire Lance Fox. A neighboring farmer. Connor takes off after them to stop the elopement. Once he tells Theo that he needs a wife in order to get his inheritance she will marry him. His proposal does not go off like he would like and Theo says no. Connor and his brother are already very rich in there own endeavors . But he refuse to lose his inheritance so he does everything he can to delay Theo and Lance from getting to Gretna Green.

This is a very good story but its totally unbelievable. Theo's new Companion takes up most of the story because she is so sickly. Most aristocrats would have sent her back home at best and fired her at worse. Theo waits on her hand and foot which is kind but unbelievable. I would have like more interaction between the H/H and less about Jane the Companion. Eventually you see where the author is going with this storyline and everyone gets the HEA. Very will written story and very enjoyable.

VERY ENJOYABLE STORY!!

Not much action. The heroine had good reasons for her reluctance, but it was tedious sometimes and it went on and on.
