Publisher's summary

Darcy Fletcher has been struggling to find her purpose in life. She’s run out of general classes and still doesn’t know what her major should be. Perhaps taking a job as a nanny this fall will be a better use of her time than college. At least she’ll be making money instead of wasting it.

The new high school coach, Evan Porter, has decided that small-town Sugar Creek is where he wants to raise his five-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, he needs extra help during the football season. One of the Sugar Mamas sets him up with a nanny.

Darcy’s young, impulsive, full of energy, and too appealing for her own good. He can’t stop thinking about her, but Evan learned the hard way that young love doesn’t last, and he won’t be Darcy’s practice run.

Will Darcy find she belongs with Evan, or will their age difference be too much for him to get over?

Sweet Romance

This is the second book in the Seasons of Sugar Creek Series, a small town romance. Darcy and Evan's story is well written, and sweet. The characters are well developed. Cindy Goulding did a great job bringing this story to life. #StoryOrigin

A Good Contemporary Romance

I enjoyed this story. Darcy Fletcher needed a job as she looked for a new career path. Evan Porter needed a nanny for his daughter during the football season. The two agreed to put their differences aside and help each other out until January. The story was charming. The characters were personable. The tropes were age-gap and close proximity. Cindy Goulding's narration was good, but her voice for the young daughter edged toward whiny at times. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Like coming home again

Another hit by Ms. Ford! It’s time that Darcy found her way in the world, and little did she know that a little girl (and her dad) would lead her down the right path.

I loved starting this book because it felt like coming home to family with reach word written. But I was saddened when it ended. Just like a good vacation River Ford has given us a reason to come back year after year, book after book — home.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read more in this lovely series in exchange for a review copy. The opinions are my own, the rating earned not given.

Sweet

This was such a fun and sweet story! I loved the characters, Sarah was an absolute sweetheart and you can’t help but love her. I loved the small town feel, the close knit family, the well meaning but nosy town ladies. It was full of laughs, and sweet moments, & love.

Very sweet story

I thought this was a great read! I loved the thoughtfulness of Darcy and the focus on the fact that being a caregiver is a meaningful and fulfilling life if that’s what you want and choose to do!

Sweet Romance

Such a cute age gap story. Darcy is very unsure of what she wants to do, so she makes the choice not to return to college for the semester. Little did she know she would figure it out. I truly enjoyed her path to finding what she wanted to do as well as love along the way. I enjoyed Evan, but at times was frustrated with how protective he was of his daughter. However, he did learn to bend a bit. The relationship Dracy and Evan’s daughter has is adorable. You have to read it to see how cute. Overall, it was a fun fall read that puts a smile on your face.

The narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life. I truly enjoyed listening to the story.
