Legitimately one of the most moving romance novels I've ever read, and hilarious to boot!

I absolutely loved the characters and their unwillingness to give up on each other! Soulmates at its finest!

Absolutely loved listening to this one. The story is fun and kept me interested. The narration was so sweet and perfect for each character! Worthy of a listen or a repeat listen!

The best laid plans

A famous Hollywood TV star hires an out of work soap actress to pose as her lesbian love interest so she can come out to the public in a controlled fashion. What could go wrong? Their deliciously mercurial relationship in which they are gradually drawn together is wonderfully engaging and immensely entertaining. It is a little annoying that poor communication delays their being together for most of the book - What is wrong with these people? - but it is worth it. Elle Spencer is a fabulous writer.

Excellent narrator!

Give this narrator an Oscar or something, she is phenomenal! Really takes you into the story with good emphasis on her words and good emotional range with her voices.

A first

I have listened to so many audible books recently and I have to say, this is the first one that moved me to tears several times. It hit home with the feelings and frustrations and that once in a life time love. Beautifully written and read. As much as I want to cry, it is only because the story ended.

lovely and sweet

I'll be honest and say Lacey annoyed me in the beginning with her standoffish personality but then we slowly got to see why that is and how Quinn brought the sweet and caring Lacey back. The book has a lot of twist and turns but I quite enjoyed the character development.

Great Story!!

This was a great story and the narration was so good. The only complaint I have is that I thought there was just a little too much swearing. I have nothing against it overall, but I thought it sometimes took over the dialogue somewhat. How many times can you say FU to someone?Other than that, I highly recommend this book. It was sweet and really very funny at times.

I’m not crying, you are.

I’ve never laughed out loud to a book as much as I had with this book. I also found myself fighting back tears, of sadness and joy. The characters, lead and supportive, were so genuine. The situation was hard to fathom, but still believable. The strong language added to the believability.
The narrator was great. I loved the Boston accent! I would definitely recommend this book and I look forward to reading/listening to more of Elle Spencer’s work. The best audible purchase I’ve made, thus far.
