Publisher's summary

This is audiobook #4 in the Casca Series.

It was easy for Casca to go along with some of the basic premise behind the Nazi war machine. These men were soldiers, hard fighting men born of the same militaristic outlook that had sustained him since that fateful day at Calvary.

Inevitably, the high sounding ideals of the Third Reich revealed hidden horrors. In the background is always The Brotherhood. Discovering this hidden organization, and as the war begins going badly for the Nazis, Casca loses faith in the Fuhrer and other leaders. Finally, Casca has no choice but to visit the bunker in Berlin, a visit perhaps more important to the world than any other act he has ever committed.

very informative.

though this is the fourth book in this series, the time periods are not in order. however, it does not take away from the story. This particular one is about casca in World War II as a German and fighting on the Russian front. There is quite a bit of description about the Battlegrounds as well as a detailed description of many of the weapons which can be checked against factual information so that is nice. With this book just like the last one, the chapters that are being read do not sync up with the chapters that are displayed in the audible model. this remains one of my favorite narrators and the story overall was very good and always wraps up very nicely. I was concerned that being such a real and more recent event that this story would be difficult to listen to however, this story focuses more on the actual Battlefield and not on the concentration camps. I appreciate the realistic portrayal of the story and highly recommend it.

casca panzer sodier

i love this audio.. the story was spell-bounding.. the narrator was flexible and convincing, he brought the human substance to all his characters. the human drama and tragedy that was the Russian front.. that few of us know.
