Best Read of the 2020s

Wow. Wow. Wow. I love everything about this book—storyline, character development, and the audio production. This is absolutely the best Fiction book I have read in years and I’m devastated that I’ve finished it. I related so much with Carrie’s character and
I felt every possible emotion. It’s a story that will leave a lasting impression and likely one
of very few books I can see myself reading again because it’s that good. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed!

Game, set, match

Taylor Jenkins Reid does it again. So well written, you do not need any tennis knowledge to love this book. The story telling is phenomenal, the reader fells like they are traveling and training along with Carrie. The shout outs to Reid’s other titles was a special treat. The narration kept me engaged to the point that I finished the entire book today. Julia Whelan’s familiar voice is also a plus. Cannot wait until Reid’s next one.

Couldn’t stop listening

What a fun entertaining book to listen to! Thoroughly enjoyable. Reid has done it again!

Reid is Never Bad

Understand, I really hate sports. I have no interest at all. But my mom loved tennis and would watched the matches, so I figured I could struggle through the book especially because Taylor Jenkins Reid is currently my favorite author, the sort of author where I celebrate when a new book comes out.
There have been a few times when I have thought, "This is going to be the one. I can't love every book an author writes." Except apparently, I can.
This one, though, is only a like. Probably, if I were like most Americans and adored sports, I would have liked it more, but the book is probably 96% tennis and 4% people and relationships. And Carrie isn't particularly likeable . Again, though, that could be me and my not grokking sports. so someone beats your record. It happens. Nothing is meant to last forever.

But the end is satisfactory and satisfying., and I think most people would like this a lot

TJR comes out another great novel

I don’t follow tennis all that closely, but reading about it in this way was thrilling. As always Reid’s character development is so strong that you fall in love with all the characters flaws and all.
