Nice continuation of book one!

It was a pleasure to listen to. I found the characters believable and human. It kept my attention and had a few chuckles and aha's in it. There are differences in how you come to think of life at different ages. Your past informs the fiyure!

I kept thinking "I kind of love this book"

Believable characters, relationships and engaging story. Well worth the credit. Interesting use of point of view that clarifies characters and their motivations. Nice.

I had an EXTREME Dislike For Meg, the Heroine!?!?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This is Meg & Sam's story, I would change out Meg from this book completely. I hated her. There were no redeeming qualities to her.

What could Virginia Kantra have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Up to the very last sentence of this book I wanted Meg to get run over by a big MAC truck!She'sa miserable, self absorbed, abrasive, selfish, greedy, rude, non empathetic, very uptight and I actually felt compared to her other family members ... Very disloyal!

What does Sophie Eastlake bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have always enjoyed Sophie Eastlake, her voices are perfect.

Do you think Carolina Girl needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

There is a book after this one and it's called Carolina Man. I hope I enjoy the next one and I hope Meg gets run over by that truck. ;-)

This unfortunately was part of a series and if you skip it you may miss some of what's happening for book three. Sorry.

Easy listening

The story was cute, and moved along nicely. Characters were fun and the story was a easy listening story.
I have listened to it two or three times myself.

Delightful story, good performance, easy to follow, very engrossing, enjoyed the characters & will look for more books by this author.
