Painfully a slow tease
Interesting story but at points, painfully slow and somewhat irritating! It took over 15 chapters to really start our lead lady to gather courage and stand up for herself. Also irritating was our lead man’s inability to verbalize his feelings until practically the end-little lone waiting four years of visiting!!

I finished it!
I cannot stand AI narration, and it surely didn’t serve this story at all. I could not like any of the characters, the heroine and hero both nitwits.
The story was passable and there might have been subtle wit, but you’d never be able to tell with the obnoxious and monotonous narration. I finished it, but now know to stay clear of this narrator, who could possibly ruin anything.
