Call Me by Your Name first swept across the world in 2007. It is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents' cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. During the restless summer weeks, unrelenting but buried currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them and verge toward the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy. André Aciman's critically acclaimed debut novel is a frank, unsentimental, heartrending elegy to human passion.
More praise for Call Me By Your Name:
"Hammer’s soft, velvety voice lends itself perfectly to the story and its Italian setting. While you might think this one isn’t worth a listen if you’ve already seen the movie or read the book, many reviewers say it is still worth taking in even if you know the story - some even say it’s worth listening to more than once." Reseñas editoriales
Editors Select, October 2017
Andre Aciman's critically acclaimed novel may finally be stepping into modern classic status, having recently emerged from relative obscurity due to the upcoming movie release starring Armie Hammer. And its place in the literary canon is well deserved, depicting perfectly the infatuated experience of first love (I won't say "feeling" because the picture Aciman paints is not a singular "thing" - it's very much a journey through obsession). The story is beautiful, erotic, and feels firmly rooted in human truths (and will make you blush). But what makes it truly worthy of listening to - and why it's my pick for October - is THAT voice. Armie Hammer's narration is among the best I've ever experienced. —Emily, Audible Editor
Reseñas de la Crítica
"...Hammer's voice is brimming with such melody that, if you listen to it long enough, you can probably get drunk off it." (Vulture.com)
"...Armie Hammer (who plays Oliver in the movie) steps effortlessly into Elio's interior world. The result is staggering." (BookRiot)
"A must-listen for anyone familiar with the book or film." (Buzzfeed)

Editor's Pick
One of my all-time favorites
"If Armie Hammer’s narration isn’t enough, let the upcoming sequel do the convincing (ask my fellow editors—I haven’t been able to shut up about it). With a voice so soothing and melodic that I honestly couldn’t help but get lost in the vivid descriptions, Hammer’s narration complements Aciman’s story perfectly. It’s a story that deserves to be listened to, over and over again. Trust me."

With a sensible closure of the way life changes us and can still entrap us in nostalgia.
Armie Hammer’s voice sets the mood of an aged man reflecting on his past. It suits the tone of the story.
The story could have moved a bit faster, the steady slow boil over leads to a very quick living of the climactic point and the speed changes almost enforcing the mood of the story as it arcs with obsession and give in to some final fleeting moments. The greatest sentiment I felt was in a single line in the final chapter.
Obsession well captured.

Where does Call Me by Your Name rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Easily one of my new favorites. The way the author writes makes me 100% agree with a line Oliver says to Elio: "I like the way you say things." Andre Aciman has a way of writing the agony of falling in love and heartbreak in a very real way that makes you feel the way Elio feels. It's the most beautiful thing I have read in a very very long time.A new favorite
