Publisher's summary

Tristan is one of my biggest clients. He always pays on time, and he always keeps his word. But this time, he's short on cash. He needs the shipment now, so he offers me collateral. He loans me his slave, Adelina.

Now that Pearl and I are so close, I can't condone this type of exchange. It's wrong. Inhumane. But she wants me. I can tell.

And I definitely want her.

Buttons and Shame is told from Cane's point of view, but Crow and Pearl have their own POV's to develop the overall story.

Cain Finds His Heart ❤️

What a thrill to have another taste of the Barcelli brothers. Cain is the main subject of this part. Crow and Button are also present as well as a new character that catches the attention of Cain. This book is just as awesome as the first three. And I can't wait to start part 5. Excellent storyline and intriguing characters!

I loved it!

Once again, I was impressed. The only thing I wondered was where Adelina's accent went when Michael was narrating her. I loved seeing a different side to Cane that we all hoped was there from previous installments of this series. I'm moving right on to the next one!

Too short

Very short book, seems like a recycled plot. Couldn't tell the difference between Cane and Crow and Adelina and Pearl at times

Can a good woman change Cain?

This story still continues the story about Button and Crow, but Focuses on Cain. Remember they are arms dealers and work with ruthless people.
Cain's last business deal was not a normal one they never give credit!!!
during the meeting Cain sees the woman he saw at the airport. The man purchased her as his slave.
The French man offered Cain a woman to take till he could give him the rest of payment.Cain didn't accept her but asked him for his slave.
So the story continues ....
Can Cain actually treat her like a slave ?
How will Crow feel about not getting full payment for a shipment that was sent out?
Biggest question of all was how Pearl will react to Cain having a slave that he has to return.
What does Cain do for the woman?
How does Pearl get herself in trouble with Crow?
This is just another great book in the series.
Love the narrators.

Performance is cheesy

Could they not find anyone with more exciting voices?? Pearls voice is just underwhelming. Caine also

Can Cane change his ways?

Buttons and Shame is Cane and Adelina story with additional POV's from Crow and Pearl.
As the story begins we are catching up with what's happening with Crow and Pearl and how possessive he still is over her when he discovers Cane is visiting while he isn't home. Shortly after we follow Cane making an arms deal with one of their brutal but lucrative clients Tristan. When their deal is to be finalized Tristan only has half the money so offers one of his slaves as collateral for thirty-one days while he gets the money. Only Cane doesn't want her he wants the one he saw the night before. Soon deals are made and Adelina is now his with the stipulation he returns her in the same shape as he took her.
Cane knows Crow will be livid when he doesn't have all the money so he tries to avoid him. What happens when he is confronted by him and Pearl. What happens when Pearl expresses her utter horror and disappointment in his actions and demands he set her free? Will his time with her change his ways or will he use and enjoy her until he sends her back to her sure to be death?
Will he wager everything on saving her and risk destroying their business ? Pearl does something stupid that changes everything she once had to try to save Adelina. Will they survive what's to come or will their world come crashing down?

I listened to the audio version of this story and found it hard to but down. I'm looking forward to listening to Buttons and Pain next to see where this storyline goes next.
