Bursting with Love is the newest addition to The Bradens (Love in Bloom series) by New York Times & USA Today best-selling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. This contemporary romance series features alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable to listeners who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women's fiction....

After having her heart broken by a country music star, Savannah Braden has sworn off men. She takes a break from her fast-paced Manhattan lifestyle for a weekend at a survivor camp to rebuild her confidence and readjust her priorities. But when she meets the handsome guide, Jack Remington, she's drawn to everything about him - from his powerful physique to his brooding stare - despite the big chip on his shoulder. Powerless to ignore the heated glances and mounting sexual tension, Savannah begins to reassess her hasty decision.

After losing his wife in a tragic accident, Jack Remington found solace in the Colorado Mountains. This solitary existence allows him to wallow in his guilt and punish himself for having made a decision that he believes cost his wife her life. He never expected to want to return to the life he once knew - but then again, he never expected to meet gorgeous, stubborn, and competitive Savannah Braden.

One passionate kiss is all it takes to crack the walls the two have built to protect themselves, and allow love to slip in.

Be Open to Love

Bursting with Love: Love in Bloom, Book 8; The Bradens, Book 5 by Melissa Foster and narrated by B.J. Harrison
Beautiful, strong and extremely capable Manhattan attorney Savannah Braden has had it with her on again off again boyfriend country music star Connor Dean. Questioning why she took him back after cheating on her multiple times, she decides to get away at a survivor camp in the mountains, hoping to rebuild her confidence and get her head and heart on straight. She doesn’t need a man in her life, but watching her brothers fall in love makes her question when will it be her turn?

Savannah doesn’t count on meeting the brooding, handsome alpha Jack Remington, their pilot and survival guide for the next few days. Although he’s anything but friendly, she’s inexplicably attracted to him, from his rugged good looks to his masculine physique and although he brings new meaning to the term gruff, he shares the powerful attraction, stealing glances as if against his own will. This throws her making her question herself even more.

Jack had walked away from life, leaving family and friends behind after losing his beloved wife Linda in a tragic accident two years earlier. An accident he blames himself for. He can’t get past the guilt, so he runs away to the mountains living a solitary life and punishing himself, not allowing any happiness, joy or love into his life.

He is not prepared for the magnetic force of attraction he feels for Savannah and after saving her from a bobcat, they share a passionate kiss that changes everything..

Jack, confused and ruled by guilt waffles between being the broken man and self-proclaimed mean bastard he is and the old Jack wanting to reemerge.

Savannah is exactly what Jack needs, but is he what she needs? Will she forever be living with Linda’s ghost or will Jack be able to finally face his past and put it to rest?

This is a very emotional story of love and loss and love again, packed with intense and spontaneous heat, passion, romance and love. There are tender sweet moments, heartbreaking memories and coming to terms with the truth of what we should assume responsibility for and what is simply fate.

The family reunion was particularly heartfelt and emotional. B.J. Harrison does a phenomenal job of bringing these characters to life. He has perfect timing, knowing when to speak softly and when to raise his voice, the way you do when making a point or losing your temper. Once again his cadence and different voices make it easy to follow the story, easily recognizing each character. He does an amazing job of voicing the parents, putting you in the story as if a witness to the action.

Another 5 stars for Melissa Foster for bringing a story of self-forgiveness, enlightenment and letting yourself be open to the possibility of love, told in the way only she can do it justice!

Savannah and Jack

Savannah is the only girl in the Weston, CO. Bradens family. Her father and brothers love her in their overbearing way. She decides that a wilderness weekend is just what she needs to get over a bad break up. Jack’s solution to a tragic loss is to go off into the woods and have very limited contact with his family, friends and the world in general. Fate brings Savannah and Jack together. Together their love is beautiful, touching but still very hot. I recently got to come back to the woods and revisit Jack and Savannah’s story while listening to the audio recording. This is one of my favorite Melissa Foster stories. The narrator does a great job getting into the head of each character and making the words come to live.

A lovely Adventure!

Melissa brings adventure and excitement in this story. B. J. Harrison brings a part of the characters lives in my heart with the narration.
Savannah Braden was a powerful lawyer to the stars and her practice was in NYC. Her heart had been broken when she found her country star boyfriend in bed with other women. She decides to get away for a weekend to regroup. She takes a weekend trip to survivor camp. Jack Remington had lost his wife in a tragic accident, so he immersed himself in the Colorado mountains teaching survival skills. He flies a group to the site and Savannah is in this group. They were drawn to each other like a fly to honey. Then love gets really involved.

Another great listen.

Savannah Braden has finally ended things with her on-again off-again, country music star boyfriend. Struggling to regain her footing and confidence in herself she decides to do a survivor boot camp in the mountains. Always friendly and outgoing Savannah is taken aback when she meets their devastatingly handsome, but uptight (to the point of being rude), guide for their adventure. Fearing this would be another bad choice for her she tries to ignore the sparks that fly between them.

Jack Remington suffered a terrible loss when his wife was killed in a car accident. He blames himself for letting her go out alone in the storm. In an effort to never have to feel that pain again he has withdrawn from his family, friends, and life in general, spending all of his time in the mountains, training others to survive in the wild. One look at Savannah Braden and he feels tiny little fissures beginning to crack the walls he’s built around his heart. His guilt and anger with himself grows with every glance at her.

Jack and Savannah’s journey is one of healing, forgiveness, and redemption for both of them. There are lessons to be learned and fears to be faced before they can acknowledge that they are worthy of the kind of love and life they both want. Getting there will be heartbreaking at times.

The entire Braden clan makes appearances throughout the story keeping us up to date on all the family news while watching out for their only sister; throwing their protective arms around her as only the Braden’s can. As a fan of this series, I know you will love Savannah and Jack’s story as much as I did.

Emotion overload

Jack is the very definition of closed off and is just suffering and punishing himself for things that happened, but even he can't help himself when he meets Savannah Braden. Savannah is just like the breath of fresh air that he didn't know he needed, that is the antidote to what ails him. I absolutely adore this story. The range of emotions that these two go through, and the way Melissa Foster writes it, you actually feel the emotions with them.

Bursting with Love is a beautiful and emotional story

Melissa Foster audiobook bursting with love
Emotional read

B J Harrison beautifully narrates this emotional story of angry and reclusive Jack Remington and entertainment attorney Savannah Braden. Savannah’s singer boyfriend has cheated on her once again and she has finally dumped him. She has decided to go on a wilderness retreat to get away. The pilot and guide for the retreat, Jack, is somewhat surly as he flies the group to the wilderness. A few interesting and humorous events occur and Savannah finds herself in Jack’s arms. B J Harrison makes you feel all the anger, guilt, and hurt that Jack has as he narrates. Melissa Foster has put the most beautiful and raw story to paper.

Beautiful story! I couldn't put it down.

I have read a few of Melissa's other books--they are always well written and I love hearing "what's happening" with some of my favorite characters. This one is by far my favorite so far. The love story is beautiful, touching, and still scorching hot. Loved it!
Edited: I recently had the chance to revisit this favorite story and listen to the new audiobook recording. Not only is still one of my favorite (romance stories--not just Melissa Foster's books), but I really enjoyed the audio version. The suspense and drama really came to life, as well as Savannah's feisty personality. This story is all about Jack and Savannah coming into each other's lives at the right time and being just what they each need.

Great book!

Bursting with love is another great read, well listen, from Melissa Foster. Expertly narrated by BJ. Savannah wanted to get away and regroup so she went on a survival weekend and met rugged loner Jack. Little did they know that after a rocky start neither could “survive” without each other. A great book!

Sparks

Jack and Savannah....oh how I love thee. I read the book over 3 years ago, but was given the opportunity to listen to it on audio and I'm so glad I did. One of my favorite things about all audio books is he deals you hear that you might have missed when reading. It was also nice to come back to these two. Of course this also starts the whole Remington side of books.

Jack and Savannah have a quick hot romance, but you forget all about how fast it all is because you can just tell the are made for each other. Jack had a sad back story and when the book first starts he is an ass (to put it nicely). Savannah sees right through him. Put them in the wildness and sparks almost start a forest fire.

BJ Harrison did it again with the audio. Just so on point.

Great introduction to the Remingtons

jack Remington is a tortured soul blaming himself for the death of his wife. He has blocked himself of from his family and the world in the mountains, where he does survival courses Savannah Braden is getting over another painful break up with the on/off boyfriend. The sparks fly before they have even taken off for the mountains. Over the course of the 3 day course Jack opens up to Savannah, and once he is back home to his cabin he begins to make amends with his family. This is where we meet the rest of the Remington family who are the next family series. Loved this book and the narration for the audio version was spot on again.

Strong Savannah meets her match

Savannah goes on wilderness break to get over being cheated on and ends up falling in love with broken widower Jack Remington. Jack is the leader of this break and tries his hardest to resist her as he is still grieving the death of his wife 3years previous. This is a wonderful story which is beautifully narrated and I found myself cheering both characters on as if they were in the room with me.
