Cute romance mystery

I liked the way Blaze was both an ATF-fire-agent dog and a therapy dog. The scenes of him helping people therapeutically were very moving, from being there for Brett to helping disturbed children and adults. I also liked the wisdom of Gemma's friend and neighbor. Sometimes we can be too close to truly see what's going on.

Very exciting

Wonderful story with main & sub characters. This one has a lot of mystery & dangers, plus lots of doggie attention. Loved it. This time I noticed the narrator used her female voice several times when she should have used the male one, so it was a tad confusing for a few moments, but still very good narration.

Entertaining story!

I really enjoyed this one! I loved Brett and Blaze. Brett is an ATF K-9 handler and they have been working on a serial arsonist case. When he is at the scene of another suspicious fire, he runs into Gemma, a NCIB insurance investigator, introduces herself to Brett and that she has information about the fires. I enjoyed watching these two come together and figure out how to work together. Gemma likes to work by herself due to having work stolen early in her career so working with Brett and trusting him is difficult for her. Brett has walls up due to what happened in his childhood and about a year ago. This story was well done with the plot and Brett and Gemma investigating the fires and putting the pieces together. They end up working very well together as they work through the pieces and the information that they continue to dig up. The story flowed well and kept my attention as we watch them figure things out with the case and overcoming the obstacles and issues they have in personal lives. I enjoyed getting to catch up with Deck and Evan (the other 2 K-9 handlers), Brett's best friends and am looking forward to the next book in the series.
The narrator did a good job with the characters and bringing the story to life.

Author provides another grat read in the series

Feom dealing with guilt and trying to make life work to trying to prove one's worth. Out-of this comes murder and mystery. Redemption and forgiveness and a love that will last.

Struggled with Voice

The voice of her narrator was tough to follow. It didn’t hold my attention and took away the sex appeal of the story. For me, there was a disconnect between the story and the voice. I’m only a few chapters in but when I’m already dreading the sex scenes.
