* "High-fantasy series rarely attract serious literary scrutiny, yet when done well--as here--no genre is better fitted to trace the threads of history from past to present and explore the fascinating patterns they weave."

the last book in this trilogy, held its mystery til the end, had a great ending and gives its main character (and others) real depth and complicated feelings. I highly recommend the whole series to fantasy readers who are looking for more diversity and rich worlds.

Great story and characters!

Overall I think the story was stretched a little bit too much and should have stopped.

It was pretty good

Great overall conclusion to the series, I really couldn't put it down, but *MILD SPOILER* ...

I found the very end so disappointingly anti-climactic and hard to believe, after such emotional build up then quite a light conclusion. There was also still a sprinkling of moments throughout where the writing or contrivances quite distracted me and made me laugh or just try to forget the stupidity because I liked the story overall so much that I didn't want any reasons not to.

Great overall conclusion to the series

Incredibly juvenile and repetitive.. The narrator was in constant gasping melodramatic voice and story was extremely repetitive. Could have been a single book instead of series. Also, characters made decisions that made no logical sense and the main character would say I learned my lesson or I'm going to do the right thing and then just do the exact same mistake. Very unbelievable, which was unfortunate as it could have been better.
