I hated the way it ended

The story was good, it kept you interested but if there is not another book that picks up where this book left off then it left too many loose ends. Unanswered questions of how things turned out. I hated the ending.

Amazing Operation...

...but, far from perfect, including the lead man. I like this performer. Did not like 95% of the characters at all, including judge Nash. Intense story line maybe not totally plausible, was entertaining. A lecherous cast, w/ the whitehats having great intentions. Did not like abrupt ending. Woods' stories so far are pretty unique.

A Book With No Ending

This book had a WTH (what the heck) ending. I mean, was the good judge going to be arrested? The book moved slowly. It lacked excitement and was a bit boring from time to time. I didn’t care for any of the characters. It ended stupidly, or should I say, it just didn’t have an ending. The narration was okay. The vocabulary level was good, thank goodness.

Where is Santa Maria

The Santa Maria I am aware of is in Santa Barbara County, CA doesn’t fit any of the description in this story

Drops off a cliff

I’d read a few reviews
where the reviewers complained the story comes to a clumsy end. I thought to myself, this can’t be true. Well it is. It is as if the author lost interest or had to meet a deadline. There are quite a few threads that are left unresolved. Given the attention to detail the author takes in the first 28 chapters, the ending uncharacteristically glosses over a lot of these threads.

Too long to keep my interest

This book was about corrupt judges. Like the other 2 books I listened to by this author, this was too long, no real likable characters and often confusing. The narrator's voice almost puts you to sleep with the monotone quality. Average story, just too long to really keep my interest.

Suffered through

I kept wanting to put it down but kept thinking it would come together somehow. It didn’t. The ending was terrible.

couldn't finish quick enough

The storyline was interesting enough but the narration left a lot to be desired.

Good story, bad character accents.

If you are able to get through the terrible fake accents from this performer, then listen to the entire book. The story is compelling and well written. The performer does very well when he is not trying to conjure up an Israeli accent. That accent sounds somewhere between count Dracula and German. He would be better off playing it straight with his normal reading accent. Other than that I enjoyed the book.
