I loved it!

This is the first book in the Open Road Series. I loved this steamy age-gap, single mother, hot biker standalone romance. Morris and Alice's story is entertaining, steamy, and suspenseful. Morris is VP in the Disciples MC. He is handsome, protective, and very supportive. Alice, a single mom, is beautiful, storng, and determined. She escaped her abusive husband. Her daughter Zoey is so cute! The supporting characters are intriguing. I loved the characters, the little suspense, and the romance. Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor did an amazing job with the narration. They are perfect as Morris and Alice. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the Series.

Loved this book can’t wait for more she does so good could not put it down

It should come with a trigger warning

So not to spoil to much but, almost a whole opening chapter about domestic violence in great dripping detail is not my idea of a good time. I read to relax not to be stressed out and have a panic attack.

I don’t know if the author is writing from personal experiences or a story she heard
But it’s completely soured the whole thing for me . If I could return it I would.

Well done

A little bit of everything to make this story real, believable, without going real dark or deep. Feel good ending.

I really liked the characters, in this book. However, this was a bit too insta-love, for my tastes. I found it pretty unbelievable that a woman with her history would jump into another relationship so quickly; especially when there was a child to consider.

Honestly, I seriously debated whether to even purchase, this book. It’s less than 8 hour length would normally be an automatic,”no”, when making a purchase with a precious credit. The book definitely had some good qualities, however, the plot was more like an outline for a potentially great book; too short, lacking details and way underdeveloped.

I’m not sure what I will do. I liked the characters and want to know more but, I’m afraid that this series will be more underwhelming than satisfying.

Not my usual - but enjoyable!

Well written - excellent narration - lots of good feels! Not a “deep” storyline, but value in the concept of “your family is what you make it”, using a MC as the backdrop. (Although I question how many motorcycle clubs would align this way ;-). Nonetheless, a nice feel-good escape!

This book🎧was cute not the bad biker book I thought it would be but still okay. If you’re looking for hot & heavy this isn’t it but I needed this after listening🎧to something very dark the plus this has is a HEA. Is it worth a credit? Yes, if you’re wanting to listen to something sweet and Jason Clarke’s voice is so gooood.🤭😘

I had a lot of hang ups around going from a physically abusive relationship immediately (within a day) into a relationship with a possessive but kind biker. I feel like her history would require a slow burn with more hang up ups and more trauma reactions from the adult. I expected more tension around the change from 'thrown together by chance and necessity' and 'staying together by choice'. as others said, not really a book about an MC

Another great book by Chelle Bliss, loved listening to this. Jason Clarke as Morris was brilliant and Samantha Brentmoor as Alice was just the same, they made you fall in love with the characters xx

Chelle Bliss you have done it again another fantastic read. Morris has now become a favorite character. If your after a read with a strong male protective lead and a swoon worthy mouth this is a book for you.

Another fantastic listen from the amazing Jason Clarke…mmm that voice and let’s not forget Samantha Brentmoor who does a fantastic job with all of Chelle’s female characters.

Excellent rescue

I really enjoyed this book. With a brilliant storyline that I related to so much. Chelle has really captured the behaviour of a person that’s been abused. With a fantastic performance as well it’s a winner.

Great Listen

Alice has the perfect plan to run away from her husband but she does not expect the broken down vehicle or that he would know she left so early. She runs into her savior Morris and things start to look a little better until he finds her. Now she must stand up to him in order to gain the freedom she struggled so hard to gain.

the one I've been waiting for

From the moment I read about Morris in Mammoth's story I was interested in him. I have been waiting patiently for him and this did not disappoint. Added bonus the fact that I not only have audible but the e-copy too and the narrators did Morris and Alice proud.

Amazing!

This book was so good, This was my first book by Chelle Bliss and I loved it!

Morris was amazing and sweet and rugged and just everything!

Alice and Zoey are so sweet and I hated to see the way things were for them. I loved Zoey and Morris, their relationship was so sweet and perfect.

Morris and Alice have a whirlwind relationship, but it is exactly what I wanted for them. I loved all the side characters too like Leo and Lia.. and they definitely need their own story (insert all the heart eyes)!!

I hated Jerry the instant he was introduced and the way things played out with him were everything. I love that we see Alice's strength and growth in that instant and I loved watching Morris and Zoey learn to trust each other.

Now this is what I am talking about! I love this book! Morris is set. Happy where his life is and not interested in settling down, he finds his encounter with the beautiful Alice Sparrow a little disconcerting. Alice is on the run. She has planned the escape from her abusive husband perfectly, until it starts to fall apart. Alice finds herself in a fix, and Morris is there to help her out. Taking Alice and her daughter Zoey in filling a void in his life he didn't know he had. But her ex is out there, and the danger is real. Having the support of the unlikely family they have is on the lookout. Will he be able to keep her safe? And will she stay when it's all over? This is a book I could not stop listening to. Morris is warm and loving, and his alpha protective side is so attractive. I love Alice. She shows a strength that will do anything to keep Zoey safe and her heart is capable of all the love Morris shows her. Fantastic story, love the building of their family and can't wait for more!

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor always are amazing together. I love their narrations, as they understand their characters and make them realistic. It's a listen you do not want to miss!

Well what can I say Morris is a sweetie!

Rough around the edges biker meets domestic violence survivor. You wouldn't think it would work but Chelle Bliss managed to create characters that were perfect for each other. I loved their story and I loved the narration, it was perfect.

Brilliant

This book was just absolutely brilliant, it made me really connect with the characters and feeling sad with the situations that occurred but very happy that Alice got away. I think she is my favourite female character that Chelle Bliss has ever written, which is surprising as Suzi has owned my heart for so long.

This was an absolute roller coaster of emotions and so well handled. Sometimes its nerve wracking reading a book with violence is it going to be over the top or glossed over. In this case Chelle handled it well and made it a strong story of growth and rebirth, family and love.

10 stars from me for the writing and also the narration.
