I love Catherine’s books. This family is so perfect. I eat up every book and can’t wait for the next. The bonds and growth of each character is so amazing. The stories are always perfect. Ugg. Swoon.

Cope Colson <3

She has done it again. Every time I feel like I say the same things but each time I am blown away.

She continues to surprise me with the suspense aspect and the romance side is just as good each and every time.

Cope and Sutton were no different this time and I really enjoyed it.

Can’t wait for the next one!

These two!!

The first time Cope and Sutton meet was perfect. I was laughing so hard and I just couldn't wait to see what would develop between them. Sutton and her son Luca are just so adorable, and it was so fun seeing the previous couples in this one! Cope was a wonderful character and I loved how he dealt with Luca and Sutton. There is just something so special about getting to see the depth in the funny/easygoing one of the family, and seeing how much depth there really is. Catherine Cowles is really giving us a list of new book boyfriends with this Sparrow Falls series! The Reaper is definitely on that list! Also, can we talk about all of these nicknames!? I am loving seeing what these guys come up with.

I finally knew who the bad guy was, but it still didn't take anything away from this amazing story. I loved their journey, the suspense, and the whole Colson family. This family is just a patchwork of amazingness and I am sincerely looking forward to seeing the HEAs that are coming. I have loved every single book so far, and I just know that there is more goodness to come! I am specifically hoping for two adoptive siblings, but we shall see what happens! I definitely recommend this series!!

The narration was great too! It’s always amazing to get dual narration with these books!

An emotional story with a bit of suspense!

An emotional story with a bit of suspense. Cope and Sutton are perfect for each other. Both having to overcome past trauma and in Cope’s case, letting go of guilt. Cope’s patchwork of siblings are hilarious with their group texting. And we can’t forget Lolli and all her ridiculousness but such a wonderful character.

Erin Mallon’s narration is always on point. She brings the characters to life with all the emotions and her male voice is one of the best.

Connor Crais have a pleasant voice but I’m still trying to get used to his style as it feels very monotone sometimes.

Catherine Cowles has become a favorite…

Good stories, ample 🔥🔥, fun and engaging characters. What’s not to like? It’s easy listening but that’s sometimes what’s needed.

I loved Cope and Sutton and Cope’s relationship with her son, Luca!

Broken Harbor by Catherine Cowles is the third book in the Sparrow Falls series, and it’s easily my favorite in the series so far! This story is an emotional rollercoaster that had me tearing up more than once, touching my heart in the most beautiful ways.

Sutton is a dedicated single mom to her 7-year-old son, Luca. She runs her own bakery, The Mix Up, determined to make a success of her business and provide the best life possible for her son. When Cope, a professional hockey player, comes back to town during the off-season to coach a kids' hockey camp, his path crosses with Sutton’s. He just so happens to be Luca’s idol, which adds an extra layer of connection between them.

As life would have it, circumstances bring Sutton and Cope even closer when he offers her a place to stay after her landlord raises her rent. Cope, dealing with the trauma of surviving a tragic car crash that took the lives of his father and brother, and Sutton, carrying her own past wounds of a shitty ex-husband who put her and their son in danger, find solace and healing in each other. Their journeys to overcome personal struggles and support one another are truly moving and make this book a standout.

Broken Harbor is an unforgettable story of love, resilience, and finding hope in the most unexpected places. Catherine Cowles has outdone herself with this heartfelt romance that is packed with raw emotion and genuine connection. I loved every moment of it!

This series is AWESOME!!!

Each book I read in the series is FANTASTIC!! They are all filled with family, love, chosen family, friendship, romance and suspense with a surprising twist!! Cowles has definitely won me over as a reader, this is my first series by her and I’m so in love with her stories!! AL Jackson, a favorite author of mine, got me to give her a try and I’m so glad she did!!!

I FREAKING LOVE these characters, complex and damaged from their past, but they find each other and heal with love! This one had Sutton’s boy, Luka, and Cope is his Hockey idol!! I loved these three and how much Cope loved Sutton and Luka and wanted to give them everything!! The epilogue was THE BEST!!!! “Love you more than bees love honey”

On to book four!!

Perfection!

This may be my favorite in the series so far. If you could see me after reading this, I swear there were hearts in my eyes. I loved this book so dang much. Cope, Sutton, and Luca are too perfect. Broken Harbor is an engrossing and beautifully told small town, close proximity, single mom/hockey player hero romantic suspense that not only pulled on my heartstrings but also gave me that giddy squeal-y feeling. Catherine Cowles does a wonderful job pulling the reader in with the phenomenal character chemistry, the found family dynamics, and the well written mystery.
After reading the previous books in the Sparrow Falls series, I was very curious about the town’s baker, Sutton, and her adorable, hockey obsessed son, Luca. I adored Sutton. She showed so much strength and courage as she escaped her dangerous ex; settling in Sparrow Falls in her search for a safety and peace. I could not get enough of the relationship between her and Copeland. When her slime ball landlord forces her to move from her apartment, Cope steps in and lets them stay with him. They form the cutest little unit. *swoon* Copeland Colson really was a total dreamboat. He’s so sweet and kind to Luca. And, so attentive, protective and passionate about Sutton. Like with Sutton, my curiosity over his story was at a high. We learned in previous books about his family’s tragic loss. I liked that we saw him work through his pain and guilt, helping him heal.
The suspense element is *chef’s kiss* so good. I will say this time around I wasn’t surprised who the villain was. I was however blown away by the why and how. Major kudos to Catherine for that.

This book was pretty much perfect. The swoons, the suspense, and the wild and hilarious grandma. I never want to leave Sparrow Falls. I can’t wait to read the next book. I’m already in love with the characters.

The narration: Connor Crais and Erin Mallon deserve a standing ovation for the narration. They really brought these characters to life.

The perfect listening experience

If I could write a recipe for the perfect Catherine Cowles reading experience it would be Broken Harbor!

I swooned so hard, I laughed, I cried, I was fanning myself and blushing, and of course I was raging and yelling out loud with shock! I swear one of these days I’m going to guess the bad guy correctly!! I really thought I had it this time but nooooo! I truly don’t know how she does it, but I so love the experience!!!

Cope and Sutton were so great and together, their chemistry was amazing and I loved how Cope bonded with Suttons son! I’m such a sucker for a single parent romance especially when the hero is so good with the kid! I’m not much of a hockey girly but Catherine even had me loving that aspect!!

The narrators brought this story to life in such an incredible way! I highly recommend listening to this audiobook!
