As an overall informational writing I feel like this book/audiobook is almost satisfactory. While it did give SOME accurate information, I can't help but feel like it was a poorly written advertisement for BJJ that was optimized for search engines in the mid 2000s. The sentence structure and repetitive nature of this writing sounded akin to when a person struggles to reach a word/length limit in high school, so they rewrite the same sentences with slightly different words. Also, at one point I listened to the first 15min of a chapter and counted the words "Brazilin Jiu Jitsu" and "BJJ" for ho many times they were used and stopped at around 20. As a listener/reader, I don't believe we need to be reminded what the subject of the book/audiobook is every other sentence.
I cannot fully blame either the author or the reader of this audiobook for mispronounced words or names, and would be lying if I said I never did myself. That said however, Mai Tai is an adult beverage and Muay Thai is a martial art. I feel as if a little more research/preparation/effort into the subject matter may have improved the quality of the delivery, but I could just be too picky since I have spent so much time in various martial arts.
