Just when things couldn’t get any worse, a huge, devastatingly handsome stranger shows up at Andrea’s door in the middle of the night and puts her in handcuffs!

Sweet Shifter Love Story With Heat

Troy Wayman, a Thunderbird Shifter and a Warden of Terra is sent to see why magic and nature are out of sync in a quiet hamlet in New York… Andrea Kistos’ is a novice Romani Caster, who just so happened to have inherited a house in that quiet hamlet. Andrea finds out the hard way what happens when you play with magic without a guidebook …. Oops! Naughty, Naughty girl! Bound by Air is an absolute delight! Cleverly written and beautifully narrated, this love story is hot, engaging and really held my interest. The characters are very well developed. I liked that the Wardens are made up of several different types of shifters, filling my head with visions of future installments of what promises to be a fabulous series! This one was a real treat!

Fantastic short story!

I definitely recommend this audiobook! The story might be short but it definitely packs a lot into it. This storyline is fantastic, it has action, mystery, intrigue and romance.
The narrator does a great job with the characters and the voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. I would definitely listen to books narrated by this narrator.

Audio Review

I didn't read the story, I received a free code to listen to the audio via Audible.

I thought this was a good short audio book about fated mates & instant love. Troy & Andreas story is a great start to the series of short stories.

I would recommend this audio for anyone looking for a short HEA or for a 4 hour road trip. The story is complete with enough background to complete the story & set up the rest of the series.

andrea grows up

I was disappointed and angry when Andrea impulsively doubted her mate so swiftly and considered breaking their mating bond. Wth??!!
How immature. At least Troy acted maturely and selflessly. Troy's shifter animal was intriguing and interesting. Looking forward to more in this series. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

BOUND BY AIR is the first of C.D. Gorri’s books that I’ve read and I can honestly say that I’m glad that I gave the author a try. I truly enjoyed this novella and hope to continue the series.

What I liked:
~ I thought it was really cool that Gorri chose to use a shifter type that is both different from what we usually get in a PNR and is also part of a culture/race that is also often neglected in the genre. I love that the thunderbird is a legendary creature in American indigenous peoples' history and culture.
~ The same goes for Andrea’s character. Though the Romani culture is present more often in PNR than Native American it’s still not something you come across often. I appreciated that both a dark side and a light side of the magic was brought up in the story.
~ Back to the thunderbird aspect of the plot. The specific details that the author attributed to it and it’s magic were really fun.

What I didn’t like:
~ The “Hounds of God” mentioned in the blurb weren’t spoken about other than in one sentence. The only reason the reader even knows about them is from the blurb. All the info in the blurb about the Catholic Church was also missing from the story. That’s not cool. IMO, the blurb is not where you tell the story. Something should have been written within the novella itself about why the Wardens of Terra were stepping up.
~ In a flashback to Troy’s past the term “skin walker” was used but I was confused by it. It was never fully explained or clear if that term was meant to be synonymous with shifter.

About the narrator:
I believe this is the first time that I experienced a performance by Ri Paige. She’s got a really pleasant voice and is easy on the ears. Her pacing flowed smoothly. She was a bit reserved in her delivery though. I would have liked to have heard a little more emotion in her voice.
