It's a cozy, slice of life book series that just keeps getting better and better!!

The Characters Just Keep Getting Better

The more I see of this world and of our main cast of characters, the more I want to see. Yet another step in Tala's journey, and I loved every second of it. We're getting more and more character development as we go on, and the gradual worldbuilding makes everything feel so alive and complex.

My hat off to Mullins and Irondale. I can't wait for book 5.

Excellent Worldbuilding

I love this series. by bit more of the world is being revealed and it really blends together quite well. if you enjoy an ever expanding world with lore bits hinting at things to come I recommend this book.

Friendship and Adventure

The life lessons Talla learns along her journey are helpful reminders … about communication and relationship, helpful perspectives on the path to maturity, and self-discipline that work in the world of magic and mundane alike!

Good series.

So I like the series so far... narrator is good. Worth the credits or money. I do want to add something though... Jokes are totally lost on Tala. Really good jokes. Like the one Rain told her earlier... "You are what you eat." Then she says "what are you eating?" Then Rain says "Babies."

That is a funny joke.

Then in this book Master Jevin played a good one on her. Acting like he had been waiting for 800 years for her to come out of Kit. Even Terry joined in. It was funny... and she got like... truly offended.

Talas sense of humor is broken. It's painful. Doesn't hurt the story or anything. Just something I noticed. Edit::: So yeah .... it does actually hurt the story. Not necessarily her sense of humor... but her lack of ability to deal with people. (And i am an awkward person. I Get how difficult it can be to not come off super weird. But... You LEARN how to do it if you get sick of the weirdness). Tala however... was brought up LITERALLY as the child of an alchemist. Every single day of her younger years was dealing with customer service. If ANYONE would know how to not be so PAINFULLY awkward to the point where the reader starts NOT liking the character, it should be her. I hate how no one can just joke around with her. Shes a humorless marionette and its like... why do these people even WANT to help her sometimes? Shes not totally unlikable but good grief. Author really needs to ease up on the aloofness. Got that stuff turned up WAY too high.

Such an interesting and detailed story

This has been a great book and the entire series has had me in awe. Absolutely love it!

descriptions, not quotes.

the sentance; "No, you speak in descriptions, not quotes." makes this book worth the credit on it's own. fun little peak into how the narration is effectively just her thought process and how she perceives the world.

Frustrating MC

MC is constantly distracted, missing obvious things and being easily taken off course. it's the most frustrating thing to listen to a supposed "talent genius" being such a fucking idiot.
