Patton Fletcher is a devil. Not the devil, but a bossy, sexy, panty-melting, hard-driving devil....

They warned me not to take this job.
They said you were ruthless, impossible to please....
I said I was better than them.
I wouldn’t fall for your charm, your arrogance, or how sexy you fill out that suit.
I wouldn’t fall for your deep brown eyes or the way that muscle moves in your square jaw when you’re pissed.

I said I could resist you.
I was wrong....

Boss of Me is a stand-alone workplace, enemies to lovers, military romance with a badass alpha boss and the feisty woman who steals his heart. No cheating. No cliffhangers.

THE PERFECT E-T-L OFFICE ROMANCE

Graduating Top of her class, Raquel could have her pick of jobs to start her new career off and she chooses Fletcher International Inc. because that’s where her sister Renee had started. However, Renee had left and suffered a breakdown afterwards.. but that was in the past and now the only advice she can offer Raquel is “don’t fall for the Boss.. he’s the Devil”. Wise words?.. well maybe.. or maybe not. Because Raquel’s feisty strong attitude, quick comebacks, business skills, and of course her looks, might just quieten the beast, calm the damaged ex military man’s rage and awaken the loving, caring, happy sweetheart that’s been buried under the weighty responsibilities he took on for the small band of brothers that he walked in to Hell with.

When Patton Fletcher left the military he was intending to take his three best buds with him and together they would take over Patton’s retiring Father’s firm.. but one didn’t want it and now, seven years on, out of the remaining two, one is self-destructing and one is slowly pulling away. So Patton’s got nothing to be happy about, he’s struggling to keep all the balls in the air, he’s negotiating new international business, he’s got his Father randomly checking-up on things and now, to top things off, a female Assistant has been employed. And he’s definitely not happy about that.. because Patton remembers the trouble he had with the last one. But don’t worry Patton.. Fate, Destiny and Cupid know what they’re doing, they’ve got your ex soldier’s heart in their sights, they’re going to spectacularly change your future and they’re going to change it fast.. but first you’re going to have to meet your match!!

A very entertaining romance as chemistry shakes things up in Raquel and Patton’s lives when instant animal attraction blurs their well-defined lines. Raquel (aka Rocky) is smart, driven, a fierce opponent, a loving sister and a loyal colleague and Patton is a sweet teddy bear in a sexy, tattooed, broody, a.hole alpha disguise. Damaged secondary characters weave in and out and enrich the storyline, a snake in the grass causes serious problems and there’s heartache for a while when the past finally reveals its obscure secrets. This dual POV passionate enemies-to-lovers, quick-to-flare office romance blossoms and blooms perfectly with just the right amount of angst, drama, sex, heartache and humor running through it and Patton’s character development brings joy in the sweet HEA ending.

Worth a credit? An interesting line-up of likeable characters, a well-written e-t-l affectionate office romance, a sexy handsome hero, a feisty heroine who lives up to her nickname and great narration by Lucy and Teddy made this a enjoyable fun and yes creditworthy listen.

Another sexy, steamy story from Tia Louise

One piece of advice that Raquel’s sister gave her about her new job: don’t fall for her cold-hearted boss Patton Fletcher—in other words, just be professional. Easy, right? Except, sparks fly when they meet for the first time, melting the ice around Patton’s heart…

Tia Louise delivers yet another sexy, steamy story (with some laughs thrown in!)

Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton did a great job narrating.

Boss of Me is a military, enemies-to-lovers, workplace contemporary romance written in dual first-person POV and done in dual narration. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

So good

Tia Louise is quickly becoming a must author for me. I really enjoyed Boss of Me and the narrators that brought this book to life. I love listening to audio books and Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton did a good job telling this story.

Patent is CEO of his company and has a thing about women working for him. He never expected someone like Raquel to turn his life upside down. Not only is she good at her job she is becoming irreplaceable in the company.

Patent and Raquel have this pull towards each other that is hard to stay away from. If you are like me and enjoy Office/enemies to lovers romance this is the book for you.

Bossy meets determined and love grows

What do you get when you combine a brooding, stubborn, former military commander with a fiesty, stand your ground intelligent woman? A hot romance that will also melt your heart.

Patton has been trying to protect his men since they left the military. He feels responsible for the injuries his soldiers suffered and still suffer from. He has taken over his father business and has his best friends working with him to build the business so they are all secure for their futures. He is focused on the end game and doesn't have time for distractions. In walks Raquel, beautiful, smart, and full of sass. His whole world is about to change.

Raquel is looking to make a name for herself and when she gets a position working in Patton's firm she is thrilled and a little nervous. Her sister worked here previously and it didn't work out so well so she is guarding herself from the "devil", Patton. It doesn't take long for her guard to slip and she sees him for the man he truly is even behind that grumpy personia.

This is a good book about struggles that soldiers face in coming home and returning to the mainstream as well as struggles smart women sometimes face in the business world. Throw lust and love into the mix and you have a heart melting love story.

Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton were perfect at Patton and Raquel. Lucy gave Raquel that smoldering voice that exudes strength and Teddy, well he is a perfect Patton. All hot, commanding, and whew..... Loved listening to both of them from start to finish.

I loved this audiobook and highly recommend it. Worth the credit.

Incredible narration of an outstanding story!

Holy Hades! Patton Fletcher is one walking, talking, sexy devil of a man!

”They say the devil was heaven’s most beautiful angel. Patton Fletcher standing over me, looking down like he wants to devour me, is better than that.”

When Rocky receives a new job, her sister warns her about the man who will be her boss. Patton Fletcher is everything her sister said he would be…but more. Despite all his aggravating behaviors and treatment of her, she finds herself attracted to him.

Patton is trying to make up for mistakes in the past and in doing so he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder. When Rocky walks into his life she brings light into his darkness and a smile to his lips.

”I like the way she looks at me, the way she challenges me and teases me. She’s playful and fun. She’s sunlight and fresh air. She makes me feel like for the first time in a long time I can let go and simply be.”

But his buddies are all struggling and he has to make things right. Unfortunately, with every step forward he seems to be pushed two steps back.

Rocky was a fun, sunny heroine who didn’t take life too seriously. At least she tried not to despite the heavy weight she carried on her shoulders. I loved that she was just as active in pursuing Patton as he was in pursuing her. The chemistry between these two was off the charts! I loved their beginning with their bickering and her always upping him in an argument. She did it with a smile and it drove him crazy, with desire.

Patton was the perfect aggravating boss. Until Rocky got a hold of his heart. Then he was all alpha, still bossy, and struggling to find a solution to win her. I loved that she softened him and gave him a place of peace. The fact that he listened to her, took her counsel, and conceded when she had done the right thing made me respect him.

I adored everything between these two characters. They had a quick banter, a lot of steam that demanded to be recognized, and the ability to open up to one another.

There was some angst that arose towards the end, and while I knew we’d get our happy ever after, I did worry what that was going to look like. This has a few twists – some I saw ahead of time and others caught me by surprise.

With a lightning fast pace and a story that was constantly moving forward, this kept me completely engaged from the very beginning. Secondary characters were not of just the lighthearted variety, introduced for levity, but actually added drama to the story. I’m hoping we’re going to get some of their stories as well. Fingers crossed!

Boss of Me

This book grabbed me from the first word. I loved the storyline so much. The ties between everyone in the story was a story twist I didn't see coming. I was thinking the worst but low and behold "The Devil" isn't what we were made to believe he was. This book is sexy and fun and emotional and inspirational. I really enjoyed listening to the narration from Lucy and Teddy. This will not be the last Tia story I listen to or read. She's got the magic touch that will keep them wanting more and making sure you listen/read to the last word!

Intoxicating Forbidden Office Romance!

This forbidden office romance was so intoxicating! It started with Patton and his friends caught up in a heart-pounding, and tragic event that left them scared and broken, never to be the same. In present time, Patton still feels responsible and fiercely protective of them all. This along with the pressure of expanding his business has made him surly, and demanding. Raquel Morgan was a top graduate in her class and has landed a coveted position with his firm. Her sister, Renee, worked for them years ago, leaving abruptly, and warns Raquel to be on guard. But Raquel is a fighter, and she won't let the pushy Boss run over her. The attraction is instant between them. Patton loves how she challenges him, and Raquel has never had such a primitive reaction to a man. I was totally seduced by the sexual tension between Patton and Raquel and the exchange of power they both fought to control. Their attraction was magnetic and their chemistry so explosive they couldn't stay away from each other. I loved how she made him want to live again, and he opened her up to a world of possibilities. But in a world of power, and money, it is important to watch your back. When secrets are revealed it could not only bring down a company, but could tear Patton and Raquel apart, breaking both their hearts. This story touched on so many emotional and raw topics with honesty and empathy. Lucy Rivers, and Teddy Hamilton's narration was so moving as they brought these flawed characters to life. They made me really care for both Patton and Raquel and cheer for their HEA. I especially loved the epilogue and how swoony Patton was. I really enjoyed this engaging, poignant, and steamy romance!

Absolutely amazing, narrators outstanding job

I love Tia Louise for a reason, well this book just added to that, amazing office romance where Rachel and Patton chemistry is off the charts, they start a relationship outside the office but the secrets he keeps will pay their toll. This story is steamy, swoony and everything you need from an ex military alpha boss and a smart mouth sexy woman. I totally recommend reading it.

Loved It!!

This story was great!! They were always enemies and they weren’t always lovers. They flitted in and out of each role.

They found love, they fought it, and then embraced it.

Teddy Hamilton is simply amazing.

Lucy still has some growing to do on her male voices but her performance was still great!

These two actors play off each other nicely.

Swoon

Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers brought these characters to life in such a way I felt like I was able to listen/read the book for the first time again. I absolutely loved their voices expressing these characters and they did such an incredible job giving these characters a new layer of depth from the pages of the book.

As for the story.. loved this story. Patton is the most perfect broody alpha boss. His military background and partners created for a very interesting story line and I loved the merge of two genres that are usually separate. Raquel comes to work for Patton's company and blows into his life. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I found myself completely cheering on their story line. I loved the dynamics of the partners together and their history and friendship now.

I found the story to have an incredibly easy flow to follow and now I am nursing a book hangover without Patton to curl up with.

Patton and Raquel

Raquel has recently graduated college and all set to begin the next phase of her life. She is hired by Fletcher International which is exactly where she wants to be as it allows her to be close to Renee, her sister and best friend, who also works at the company. The one piece of advice that her sister dispensed was to not get personally involved with her boss, no problem right?

Patton has recently taken over the family business and is trying to implement his plans for the company without the interference of his father. He is also trying to be the support system for his two best friends and fellow marines when he is having difficult adjusting to civilian life as well. The last thing he needs is to get personally involved with an employee so why can’t he stay away?

Patton and Raquel prove themselves to be soulmates both at work and at play. They share a hot chemistry, witty banter and realize that being together makes them that much stronger to face the obstacles that life puts in their way. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration as they seemed to fit the characters perfectly.
