This was a novella from a series that I have read, but it had definitely been a while since I had been back in that particular world. This story revolves around Tavin, who was an assassin but has now kind of reformed and works as a type of paramedic at Underworld General Hospital. Deja is a "reborn" demon (due to the events when the souls were released, she has found herself in a different body) but is dead set of exacting her revenge for the way she died (or to put it more clearly....when she was murdered) How was she murdered you might ask? Well, she was murdered by the man /demon that she was in love with. Yep, you guessed it....Tavin.

I liked being back in this world and it was fun to see so many characters that we have come to know from this series. As usual, nothing is easy and we find that these two crazy kids have a lot to discuss. The problem is that that specific opportunity doesn't quite prevent itself.

Things go from bad to worse and we get to follow along as they discover who and what has occurred to put them in this situation. This was a quick and easy read/listen and like I mentioned before, it was nice to jump back into this world.

I love Larissa Ione's books and stories, unfortunately couldn't even finish this audiobook. I read the book (kindle/e-book) due to the narrator not living up to my vison of Tavin and the overall performance... only made it to chapter 2.Nothing in this audio book version/performance was inspiring or captivating for me.

Terribly disappointed

I have loved everyone of Larissa’s books until this one. I could not even finish this book on Audible. The narrator is one of the worst I have heard and the story itself is so much below her usual books. It doesn’t flow well and the dialogue is ridiculous.
